Wayside Market is one of the must-stop eating places on the North Fork. The owners, Pasquale and his daughter Isabella, are truly wonderful and caring people, as is their team of great people who work there. The food is always fresh and delicious. One of the rarities in this day and age, is a family owned and run deli that still makes food on their menu from scratch and by hand with a lot of love and care. And you can taste the difference BIG time. New Yorkers can be a tough crowd to please and there's a reason why they have so many regular customers who love Wayside Market. Many people don't realize what it takes to run a business, especially in New York, where the costs are so much higher than in many other parts of the country. Come hungry and you'll leave happy. I always do. Looking forward to my next visit to Wayside Market! Best wishes to everyone...Robert W
This place is hands down awesome! Two young girls working in there were so polite. The Butcher was HILARIOUS! We got him going on a rant, but very fun spirited! He was a master at trimming our steaks. Had plenty of other things from there, all were great! We will definitely go back. Also, I thought the tables outside were really unique, check them out! Thank you wayside for a great market experience.
I LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE! I purposely drive here from the South shore, while visiting from Colorado! PT and Isabella are AWESOME!
It looked clean but they did not have chicken ready for the sandwich I ordered. So they suggested a meatball parm which I went for. Well it turns out that a meatball hero is $22 here and while it was a big sandwich it lacked good taste and was really pretty bad. I hope they decide to make a lunch special that if not inexpensive at least tastes good. Food costs have gone up, however the sandwich I was served cost no more than $2 to prepare..
NEVER going back. Gave it a chance after driving by for about 2 years. Should've kept going. Long gone are the days of sawdust on the floor and smiling faces. These days it's just bad attitude and ridiculous prices. Don't get me wrong, the food is great....just plan on selling your first-born to pay for it, with a healthy side of snarkiness. Definitely not the Wayside we grew up with.
I love a good deli and this place hit the spot! The sandwiches are so delicious and big. The bread was very fresh and above all else the staff was so friendly. Definitely going to go back the next time I am in town.
Great food, best breakfast sandwich on NOFO. The lunch sandwiches last me for two meals. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Great place to get prime meats for your summer BBQ. 5 stars all the way.
Delicious Quality Deli Sandwiches & Foods with Friendly & Personable Service. Just what a local Deli/Butcher's Market should be!!!
Steak without equal. Top restaurants/butchers can’t come close. Warm reception
Whao are we in Manhattan? Spicy chicken cutlet sandwich was tasty but WAY overpriced. There was also an unnecessary amount of chicken in it. Maybe use half the chicken and price it $5 less? Just days ago we found a local gourmet market to be considerably cheaper. Would go back but definitely getting the price first.
