A friend recommended this clinic and I made an appointment.. I haven’t taken my dogs anywhere else and I will not. Dr Joyce had a special relationship with my girl, Roxy. She made her transition across the bridge as good as could be expected. I now have two other girls that are patients here as well. Communication is always clear and straight forward. I appreciate that. I never feel pressured into all kinds of testing or medications either as opposed to other clinics. I trust what Dr Joyce tells me implicitly as she always has my dogs’ best interest in mind. 10/10 would recommend
I'm a fairly new patron at South Side Animal Hospital, less than a year but they've really accepted us and so far worked with two of our three cats. They have been friendly, pleasant and caring and have done an excellent job taking care of us. They ARE very well established there however, so they CAN get busy, and that naturally makes it a bit difficult to get an appointment on short notice. But they seem to do their best to work with you. I like them a lot! Dr.Joyce Heideman is a very experienced, knowledgeable, well trained Veterinarian. All of the staff seem very happy there.They really seem to have a good sense of teamwork. Each employee seems to take a genuine interest in what's happening there and is welcoming to each one. They seem very compassionate about caring for each individual animal and excited about the work. You sense a real desire in them to focus on giving genuine attention to each of their patients and making sure you know your situation is important. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOHN BAXTER Puma, Big Inky and Dingo
**Update** The bedside manner shown by Dr Joyce, Theresa, and Karsen with patients and their humans is just incredible. They even have a giving tree where there are little ornaments you can purchase and donate to another patient's care who's human just cannot afford it. This alone put tears in my eyes at the care and thoughtfulness put into that alone. Randy the Wiener is very happy. The staff was very welcoming and warm. Dr Joyce walked me through any issues and concerns.
A caring, qualified staff. Excellent care and results for my pets. Always patient with owners. 100 percent recommend. I have 5 pets in this practice. Everyone of them has thrived and has excellent care. A sixth pet who also had great results died of old age and the care, sensitivity, professionalism that day made it sooo much easier. Seeing some just a few of the negative reviews really stuns me. I have friends who don’t use Southside but they even know what a great practice this is! One complaint though: how do none of these reviews mention how great Theresa is!!!!!!! .
Wonderful staff! Dr. Joyce really listened to our concerns and history. My dog was completely at ease the entire time and loved all the staff.
The staff is so kind here! Whenever I get a call the staff is exceptionally friendly. The same goes for whenever I have a visit in office. They always call when they say they will and the Dr. is so loving and kind to our pup. I would definitely recommend this veterinarian!
Dr Joyce and her team are fabulous! They truly love helping your pets and are great in training owners how to care for them. My Frida loved going to see Dr Joyce. Highly recommended!
Very caring and helpful with Biggie Smalls health and well-being. You are treated like family there! Answering all my questions and offering great care. Wonderful staff and outstanding customer service!!!! This is the only place I will take my dog to get the care he needs and deserves!!!
The staff are sooo awesome! Dr. took time to explain everything, so friendly and professional. We're so happy to have this care for our cat, Dolly!
Looks like I found an excellent and affordable vet for my dogs !! Diamond was having a major issue with her skin on top of ear infection, thankfully they squeezed her in the next day. And took good care of her.
