MISSION AND PURPOSE
Spalding Samaritans is a volunteer based ministry that encourages and allows the community to come together in service. Individuals, churches, civic organizations and businesses pool resources and work cooperatively to address the numerous requests for financial assistance experienced throughout our county.
Extending care and benevolent help to “the stranger at the door”, Spalding Samaritans provides limited help for utilities assistance to persons who are undergoing a short term, addressable financial crisis. Funds are paid only to legitimate providers of utilities or housing-not to individuals.
Working cooperatively with Spalding Samaritans insures an equitable distribution of funds and prevents duplication of services. Money saved can be utilized to fulfill more requests. In addition, Spalding Samaritans participates in Pathways, an online community network for tracking assistance in Spalding County.
