The Spanish Lake Fire department is amazing. My grandfather was a firefighter for Spanish Lake for 25 years before he passed away in August of 2000. Don't if there's firefighters there that might remember him. My grandfather was David Jenner and me and my family used to visit him once a week and one of his stations. I how most you guys that work there know. You guys do a great job and keep the community safe and encourage people to check the smoke detectors at least a few times a year.
The one on Bellefontaine is still open....matter of fact they had an open house last summer to meet the community and NOBODY from the community showed up....they would rather steal from the Dollar General and lounge right next to the fire station...instead of going in there for help or a job. My family and I seem to have been the only people from the community to meet and greet with the firemen and their families. How do you expect them to get to know us if we don't give them a chance...by the way they are great and invited us to come back anytime...
They came checked everything and made sure we were safe before Leaving!
