This place is awesome. We just moved to Michigan from out off state and came to Sparrow Urgent Care, because I don't have the Primary Care Physician in Michigan yet. The wait time was less than 20 minutes, which is very reasonable for the Urgent Care facility, especially after hours. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable. They listened about my concerns, then examined and explained me my condition. I would strongly recommend Sparrow Urgent Care in Grand Ledge.
I brought my son here with a potentially broken arm. We have been here nearly three hours and still haven’t made it past the waiting room. Other walk ins that appear to be fairly stable non-critical patients are getting jumped ahead of us for one reason or another. Worst urgent care experience I’ve had and we aren’t even in an exam room yet.
3 hour wait with only 6 people ahead of us? And multiple people didn't even show up for their online appointment so it seems it would have went a bit quicker...nope. Dr today was extremely slow! Son had an xray but the tech had us in and out in just a few minutes! 1 star because of the extreme slowness of the dr. The other staff was very timely and friendly so they were 5 stars!
Don't expect to get any help here...Dr's don't care about you there or your pain..all they care about is liberal state of michigan guidlines...wife went in with a sore throat couldn't swallow...they gave her nothing. No anti biodic no cough syrup nothing....I went in for severe head and body pain sweaty chills and left with ibuprofen...they don't care about you or your illness they won't prescribe anything to help you get by till symptoms reside..shame on them...I'm done with these people...it's a sad day when a dr won't even give you antibiotics or pain. Receiver even if never had before
Long wait times are no fun so I recommend online check in but once we were in the doctor and nurse were absolutely second to none super sweet to the kiddos very gentle with the nasal swabs it's the first time I've seen my son not cry or freak out. Thanks ladies :
Out of every urgent care i'd return to this is the one the nurse and Dr are amazing and listen and hear me and honestly have done more for me then any specialist I've seen!! Y'all are amazing thank you!!
This is pretty much the only urgent care we go to, and we have never had any issues. I was shocked to see so many negative reviews. Yes, if you come during the middle or end of the day there is often a long wait, especially when Covid was surging in the area. Whenever we get there before 9am they open at 8 we are seen within about 30 minutes. It’s practically impossible to get in at our primary care doctor, so we usually bring our young kids here when they need to be seen without notice. The care we’ve received is sufficient and what we would get at our primary care doctor, they just don’t know us as well here. I recently called to see if some test results were in and the woman on the phone was incredibly kind and didn’t make me feel like I was a bother, which is the usual reaction at our primary care office. No complaints. I’m thankful they are here and serving the community after seeing how terribly people treat the front desk staff.
They were nice when I checked my son in for his appointment. We have been sitting in the room for almost an hour and a half and still haven't seen anybody, there's only two other people here. My son had to use the bathroom, it has a sign saying to ask to use it first, I asked if he could and she got an attitude saying "um, yeah?? It's literally right across the hall from your room" I said okay but it says to ask first. Then I said we've been waiting for as long as I said and she gets an attitude again and says " well I don't know what you want me to tell you we have one Dr and five rooms full"... But there's only two other people here and people that have come in after us have been seen and left well before my son.. then another assistant comes in and says the wait til is still another hour..
I took my sick children to be seen. After waiting nearly 3.5 almost 4 hours we were called back. While taking my childrens weight. I asked the Medical Assistant named Heather. "what took so long to be seen"? I told her I had been out of milk and diapers. Heather rudely replied, "there are other patients, you could leave or go somewhere else". I was absolutely disgusted with her attitude towards me and I will be filing a complaint with Sparrow.
I went to Sparrow Urgent Care in Grand Ledge today and saw a very caring nurse practioner. She was very very thorough explaining to me my condition. Thank you so much for helping me.
