Michael is the best trainer I have ever experienced. I came to him looking for some support in my wellness journey. I have lupus an autoimmune disorder and had been recovering from a very severe flare that occurred about 18 months prior. I had to completely rebuild my body after that experience, as I had lost nearly 50 pounds during the flare and spent almost ten full months in and out of the hospital and in bed. I did a lot of work on my own, but needed something/someone to help take me to the next level to prove to myself that I could make a complete recovery. Michael was knowledgeable of my needs to ease slowly back into the process and was not only respectful of my boundaries, he was a huge encouragement in helping me listen to my body and honoring my body's needs day-to-day. I'm happy to say that with his amazing support, I was able to complete a Spartan sprint after 8 weeks of consistent training. Michael does not just help clients build a stronger, leaner body. He helps clients build their confidence as well. Truly a gem. I couldn't recommend anyone better. Also, the gym is incredibly fun to workout in and gets you familiar with the obstacles you'll face during the race!

Sparta is an amazing gym with an incredible sense of community. There are athletes of all levels and abilities that  support each other to achieve individual goals. Coach Michael knows his stuff and encourages us to achieve what we did not believe was possible within ourselves. Even if you are not interested in doing OCR, I highly encourage you to check out this gym. You will see incredible gains in your functional fitness and have a lot of fun along the way.

Joining Sparta has totally changed my life! I began my journey with Coach Michael and team 6 months ago overweight,  no energy, depressed and zero self confidence! Becoming a Spartan has been a mind, body and soul transformation for me and I highly recommend this gym, and this program if you are seriously looking to transform your body and your life!

I started here in October of last year and the change I've seen already is outstanding! Coach Michael is encouraging, friendly, understanding, passionate, and knows what he is talking about. I have tried many fitness courses, but I've never seen results like these! I've made amazing progress, amazing friends, and I cannot recommend this place enough. If you really want to see a change in yourself, body and mind, this is the place to be!

Great workouts and supportive people and atmosphere. Everyday is a hard but exciting day at Sparta. Coach Michael is awesome and pushes you to the limit everyday while giving you awesome support and feed back. Sparta is an awesome place to become an athlete or just to get in killer shape.

Absolutely love this gym, I've always enjoyed working out but after having my daughter I definitely didn't feel like myself anymore. After joining the gym and working with Micheal I've seen results faster than I ever have; I'm a lot stronger and confident.  Plus the other people at this gym are amazing, fun and very supportive. You definitely won't regret going here!

Coach Michael's ability to meet each athlete where they're at is amazing. All ages, all body types, all fitness levels.  As an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, I'd seen the results of poor coaching, and was nervous about starting out. Especially at my age! This has been one of my best decisions! I am working out hard, seeing results, and meeting awesome people!

Coach Michael and his program have helped me realize that anyone can become their best at any age.  I thought I was in pretty good shape until I first met Michael for my assessment test and found my body was lacking in strength and stamina.  In just 8 weeks of training with Michael, I have not only gained in both of these areas, but I have lost weight, leaned up and this old plumbers knees and shoulders have become more flexible and stronger.  His knowledge and focused approach to strength and conditioning has made a transformation in me I didn't know could happen.  Michaels personal concern on form, function and flexibility gave me better results than the "Boot Camp" approach that just left me exhausted with not much gain and poor form.  With his experience of participating in almost 30 Spartan races he is the most knowledgeable person in the Gallatin Valley on training for any OCR competition!  THANK YOU Coach Michael for helping me become all around a better stronger man!

Life changing training at the Underground. Coach Michael is incredibly knowledgeable, personable and motivating. The progress that I have made personally in 5 months of training at Warrior Underground is all but unbelievable, I plan on completing my Spartan trifecta in 2018 after never having run any type of race before and I plan on sticking with Coach Michael and this training regiment for the foreseeable future!

This gym is what I think about when I think of the perfect gym. It has an awesome energy and the knowledge that you get from Coach Michael is something that you won't find anywhere else. He understands what you are striving for and he WILL get you there and further, while having fun. The classes are intense for every level athlete, and you will love the diverse workout combinations.
