Counseling that strives to provide people with the tools and strategies they need to live a better life.
Welcome. I believe the most important factor in therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. I strive to make that relationship safe, open and honest. My goal is to provide clients with the tools and strategies they need to live a better life. I've seen the difference that comes when people learn to focus on solutions instead of problems. I work with clients trying to cope with all types of relationship, mental health and addiction issues and believe that everyone can do better with appropriate help.
I'm a retired police officer and have extensive experience treating trauma and anxiety. I've done work in Critical Incident Stress Management for public safety agencies around the Cape. Because of my background, I'm especially motivated to assist law enforcement and other First Responders.
I also work daily with clients trying to recover from substance abuse. I'm a nationally certified Master Addiction Counselor and volunteer as a SMART Recovery group facilitator. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and groups. Please contact me if you think I may be able to help.
