Sparwood Food Share is a food recovery program located at the Sparwood Food Bank open to its clients. Food that is no longer able to be sold in stores and restaurants but still fit for human consumption is picked up and distributed at the Food Bank.
Sparwood Food Share is a food recovery program addressing the economical, social and environmental issue of food waste. Food that is no longer able to be sold in stores and restaurants but still fit for human consumption is picked up and brought to the Sparwood Food Bank for distribution; helping individuals who access the food bank have access to healthy and fresh foods. Anything not used will be given to local farmers to feed their animals.
