An Ombudsman is an official representative of the Commanding Officer; he/she plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining current and accurate communication between the command and its family members An Ombudsman is a volunteer appointed by a Commanding Officer to serve as a link between command leadership and command families.
Please reach out at any time. Your Command Ombudsman is available 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. Your questions, comments, complaints, concerns, etc. will all be held in the strictest of confidence.
Navy Family Ombudsmen are volunteers trained to assist Navy families to successfully navigate the challenges of the Navy lifestyle. Ombudsmen are appointed by the Commanding Officer to serve as an information link between command leadership and command families. Ombudsmen also provide resource referrals when needed and work to resolve family issues before the require extensive command attention.
