Special Camp 2017: Session One (July 10-14), Session Two (July 17-21), Session Three (July 24-28), Session Four (July 31-August 4)
Special Camp for Special Kids is a summer day camp for youth with disabilities and peer counselors, providing both with life-changing social and recreational opportunities through one-to-one relationships.
The Special Camp program provides an encouraging, loving, and fun environment through the core values of:
Compassion: We are attentive and responsive to the needs, desires, and dreams of individuals, families, and communities we represent and serve.
Service: We give ourselves to others in need of our spirit, leadership, resources, labor, and love. We promote service education opportunities, which empower social awareness and civic engagement.
Opportunity: We cultivate opportunities for others to succeed and grow, especially where opportunity has been stifled, overlooked, or withheld.
Love: We love, cherish, and respect all whom we encounter regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, creed, and ability.
Over the next five years, we at Special Camp for Special Kids expect to maintain our momentum, celebrate our successes, and understand more completely the depth and breadth of the life-changing experiences that we provide for all participants.
