Just stopped in the location for work I take surveys for a living and was hired to ask a few questions at the location for a company that was hoping to get their products in the store. I had never been there before and was really excited to find it. I buy supplements regularly and would much rather support a local shop than buying online, so I was actually thrilled to find such an adorable store. I spoke to Bonnie at the front counter and am honestly appalled at her attitude and tone towards me. She berated me for wearing a mask which I am required to do for my job and was very aggressive with me. I get it, my job can be annoying to shop owners/employees but I always try to be respectful and kind. I don’t sell product, I don’t push anyone to do anything, I just ask questions a hand full of questions takes about 2 minutes max. I can honestly say after doing this job for a year I have never been treated so poorly. The sad thing was I was ready to go back my car, grab my wallet, and purchase a few supplements I needed. Needless to say, I’ll never come back. Really unnecessary to treat other human beings that way.
Pound for pound the best Health store in Sarasota/Bradenton area without a doubt! A great owner and great staff with an abundance of knowledge. Small quaint location, but selection of products ARE HUGE I promise they have the lowest prices for the top brands available on the market!
several years I've been struggling w/Health issues, foods have declined in nutritional values, so I've learned the importance of a great nutritional center. It's been a few years ever since the 1st time I visited SPECIAL NUTRITION. Since then have no reason to go anywhere else to shop for Nutritional supplements. Even big cities, in USA, Europe, South America, can not even compare in price value and service. The monthly 'CHECK UP' or was it 'YOUR NUTRITION NEEDS' where outside lab for $50 bucks, take blood sample in front of you and shows & explains your needs. THIS is amazing service tells you more of what is going on or lacking in your body. Then like prescription staff take you around the store after the test and fill your order. BEST DEAL AROUND! MISS it since COV hit town the program stopped, hope it comes back as I have more people asking me when will they start the testing back up? I also miss and need to be tested. Last but not least, staff is friendly and very knowledgeable the products & prices no one can match, don't know how they do it. Even the owner is there and can ask her anything, but best to ask them about supplements, her son is also knowledgeable, but the staff is really amazing, they listen, they care, respond faster than a machine but they all have heart. Not smiling faces that fake their way though rather a good honest friend with knowledge, feeds you no bull, just the way it is baby!

October 2016 I was drowning in a pool of fear based compliance, weighted by ignorance, tethered by prescription drugs. Louise, of Special Nutrition, tossed me a life preserver and offered me some relief in the way of a different approach; one where the side effects are health and healing. That day Louise did something that neither my Doctor nor pharmacist did. She spoke compassionately to me about the purpose of the drug that I had recently been prescribed. Louise described its side effects, its detrimental long term use and explained why it was nearly impossible to ever wean off of this drug. That day Louise, of Special Nutrition, saved my life!! Special Nutrition is a discount vitamin, supplement, nutrition store located on the north side of Stickney Point just a bit west of 41. They offer the lowest prices in town and have the highest quality of products. I am picky, nervous, strictly organic, hard to please but I am very pleased with the brands and inventory at Special Nutrition. Their products are always new and fresh. That in itself warrants praise, accolades and gratitude. However, I'm just getting started. Louise and her family own and operate Special Nutrition and have a few employees as well. Owner and employee alike are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and respectful. My abundant and sometimes repetitive questions have never been treated with anything less than a serious, warm, willingness to help me kindly and I am always impressed with the amount of knowledge bestowed on me. If they don't have a particular product that I'm looking for, they go straight to their computer and look it up on line to tell me how soon they can have it in the store for me. Special ordering seems to be their pleasure. Health and helping is their business and passion and I'm grateful for them. The other day I told Louise that she should sit in a big comfortable chair in the middle of her store and charge people for nutritional counseling. She brushed me off with a warm smile; she thought I was kidding. I wasn't. I would stand in line, waiting to pay her for helping me find what I need. Anyone who has experienced Louise, knows that you get so much more than a bottle of this, a tube of that or a tincture or two. You get what you really really want; your health and your life back. When I walk out of Special Nutrition, I feel like I've been anointed with my very own birth right to thrive. Have a great day. I know you will when you make Special Nutrition a part of your routine. They deliver to your car! No need to go inside. It’s a small store with never more than two inside, so feel free to go in. Filled with the best at the best prices. Call them, give your card number, drive up and no wait, boom, delivered to your car.
Been coming here for 5 years, found this vitamin store by accident when my wife and I were exploring Seista Keys and Sarasota. I've only had one bad experience in the past 5 years. I strongly recommend shopping at this store. They are very wise and know there vitamins and herbs. They will go extra mile to help you understand how the vitamins or herbs that your looking for will help you.
Special Nutrition's staff has always been super helpful to me. Not only are they willing to custom order my supplements but the price is significantly cheaper than what I would pay online. For vitamins and supplements I would not shop anywhere else.
Solid pricing, excellent selection and awesome customer service. If they don't have what you need, they will order it. Very knowledgeable staff and always a joy shopping here.
Best kept secret in Sarasota!
