We were also selected as one of the "Top Bands in St. Louis" by CBS and KMOX plus the "Best Band in St. Louis" in Modern Bride national magazine for two years in a row! We are a MULTIPLE award winning 9-piece dance band that is one of the most requested professional bands in St. Louis as can be confirmed on our web site schedule. Unlike most local bands, we are not simply a weekend hobby endeavor and you’ll be working with a full-time dedicated manager for your event to ensure a flawless experience. A free in-person consultation is always available to plan your event if needed. Even though we perform for more weddings than any band in St. Louis, we are not one of the typical “wedding bands”. Instead, our approach is to be “a band that plays at weddings”, lots of weddings. There’s a huge difference as you’ll see while you shop for your entertainment. Spectrum is comprised of some of St. Louis' BEST professional musicians as you can easily verify by reviewing our extensive video and audio demos. We have the talent necessary to surpass your expectations and ensure that you experience the best band possible. We always provide a “real” state-of-the-art sound system that’s continuously being upgraded for perfect CD audio quality and a brand new dazzling light system with 32 LED arrays. Plus, we now offer upgraded lighting packages for the entire room and/or the stage that no other band can provide. Another addition (that is only offered by Spectrum) is the flagship TD-30 electronic drum set from Roland. It not only looks great and makes the songs sound exactly like the originals but it also allows us to have complete control of the band’s volume. One of our most important features is that TWO “professional” engineers are always on site for each performance to ensure that the sound/volume and lighting are always perfect! You can be assured that our musicians are not awkwardly trying to run the sound and light systems while performing on stage or use an engineer without a discreet wireless capability. There are definitely copy-cat groups that you can hire but we are the “original” Spectrum Band. We have continued to evolve and improve for over 20 years while being featured in "Southern Living Magazine", "St. Louis Bride Magazine", "Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine", "Post-Dispatch", "Best Bridal", "Modern Bride Magazine", and recently featured as one of only two bands in "The St. Louis Wedding Book". We were also featured in the international magazine "Modern Drummer" as one of the most successful local bands in the country. We are members of the American Federation of Musicians and can provide proof of liability insurance upon request (always ask). We know it’s awkward to show up at someone else’s private event to audition a band so we recently invested in very accurate videos for our potential clients. You can now attend a “live” audition from the comfort of your own home! You would never get to witness this level of detail of a live performance of ANY band by standing in the back of the room for 20 or 30 minutes at someone else's private event. Plus, we likely won't have that happen at your event either. Most of our bookings are from guests that attended a previous performance and they want to guarantee the same quality and excitement at their event. We've performed at events as small as 40 guests and as large as 5,000 (we opened for ZZ Top at the Scottrade Center during an IBM international conference), so we know how to make your event or wedding a tremendous success.
