This place is awesome! It reminded me of the Spice and Tea Exchange in Sarasota, FL. There's a huge variety of spices to choose from, so if you do any kind of cooking, I highly recommend this place. They also have a good variety of teas and they have homemade pasta! I wish they had one of these in Three Rivers!
Very nice and rustic. Bit quiet, music would be a nice touch. I was also hoping to get other herbs like mugwort and st johns wort and the like. I like their teas but i would love to get loose herbs to make my own. But wonderfully stocked and amazing collection of cooking herbs.
The store is amazing. The staff June 1st was a witch. I walked in and she didn't ask if I needed anything and stayed at the desk. I found what I was looking for and she yelled at me because I brought the container to her. She never asked if I needed help. She told me there was signs everywhere in a rude voice. If willing to spend $20.00 on a small amount of peppercorns, I don't appreciate the attitude. When paying she said if paying with cash I had to have exact change. When leaving, never a thank you and just stared at me leaving.
Every time I visit the shop it is always incredibly clean and smells wonderful. The young lady working there most days is knowledgeable and super helpful if I need anything.She also provided recommendations for me to try things I might not normally try and each suggestion was really good especially the soups. I highly recommend a visit.
3 Stars for the store selections. It was my very first time visiting. The store has a pleasant atmosphere. The sales lady was very helpful, but a bit too much of long wind chatter. They have a tons of awesome seasonings/teas & gifts, that I’ve never seen before. Which that could make me want to cook often with new flavors. After a few look around, a lady walked in. She beats me to the counter, but only to know that she was only there with many questions. As I was ready to pay for my items, I was ignored. Why couldn’t I just pay and go? But, have to stand long to wait for this lady to stop talking? No thanks! I walked out without hesitation. Not going back. I’ll order online to skip the talking and waiting.
I really enjoyed walking around and taking in this shop and all their offerings from tea to spices to rice dishes. There are an abundance of spices and teas that you can sniff and recipes to inspire you. The pre-made risotto dishes are a great way to try a new side dish at an extremely reasonable price. There are plenty of pre-made baskets to take back as gifts from your trip for family of yourself.
Beautiful store, a treat for the nose! Walking in, you smell a fantastic mix of spices. Not only do they have bulk spices, just about everything you could ask for missing ras el hanout, but plenty of the ingredients to mix it yourself, but WONDERFUL teas and chocolates. I love going in this shop!
Everyone should come to this store. Their selection on spices is superb and if you are into tea you are in for a treat. They have so many different selections!
I love the variety of teas and spices. Customer Service is always great. You never feel rushed.
Really nice selection of teas and spices. Helpful and friendly staff. The ginger/ peach tea is very good.
