Spicers Grill is a food cart business serving Mediterranean sausage, chicken, and Portabella sandwiches with organic toppings and awesome sides. We are committed to bringing wholesome delicious food to the community that is good for the consumer, and the local economy. Using natural and organic ingredients not only makes our food healthier and more satisfying, it makes it taste better too! Our food is sourced locally, mainly from Michigan, which supports local producers and reduces our carbon footprint.
Our specialty is the Spicer sausage, which is our version of a Merguez sausage. The recipe is a combination of Halal beef and lamb with North African and Mediterranean spices. We have a hot and a mild version of this sausage to satisfy all flavor pallets. We also cook up an Italian sausage that has just the right amount of spice. Our chicken kabob is a skewer of natural farm-raised chicken subtly spiced and marinated. For vegetarians, or anyone who loves Portabella mushrooms, we have a grilled organic portabella cap marinated in balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and a few simple savory spices.
Our sandwiches are served on a Zingermans Baguette that is purchased fresh daily, or pita bread made in Dearborn. These basic sandwiches are really good, but our topping make them outstanding. Organic bell peppers and onions are grilled to perfection and go great with the flavors of the sausages, chicken or Portabella. Organic Gouda cheese is melted on the bread as it toasts on the grill to add a creamy texture and a delicious flavor. Organic Portabella can also be added as a topping to any sandwich. Adding a couple pickle spears to the sandwich gives it that juicy crunch, and flavor contrast.
To top off our sandwiches we have free home made hot sauces made with Harissa. We mix this Tunisian chilli pepper and garlic paste with Dijon mustard, Greek yogurt, garlic sauce, or citrus to create our different sauces. The garlic sauce, along with ketchup and mustard are available for customers that do not like spicy food.
No meal is complete without a side and a drink. Our homemade hummus served with pita bread slices is perfect for eating on-the-go. Marinated organic Zuchinni and summer squash slices are grilled and served in a tray. In stead of the basic name brand potato chip, we sell all-natural Michigan made Great Lakes Potato chips in four flavors. Our specialty drink is Orangina, a French Algerian lightly carbonated beverage that compliments our spices perfectly. We also have a variety of Faygo products, and Absopure water.
