Founded in 1996, Spikes is a family owned and operated specialty running shoe store serving the community with race support and passionately providing customers with shoes and accessories.

Whether you run, walk. hit the gym, work in the medical or service industry, running shoes will speak to your needs.

Every customer that enters the store is gait analyzed, sized, and questioned about their physical history to determine which shoes are best suited for them.

The owners are extremely helpful and kind. On my first visit, they sat down with me, listened to my needs, asked me a lot of questions, and got me a really comfortable pair of shoes. After a few runs, I was still experiencing some pain about a mile in. I went back and they were so kind and reasonable, did another consultation with me, and reassured me "Don't worry, we'll get you all fixed up!" brought home another pair of shoes and ran in them today and they feel awesome. Definitely worth the time and investment.
Always a great experience. Now that our daughters are running, we take them here as well, to ensure proper size & fit. The staff is very patient & knowledgeable. They even ordered the color my girls preferred & had them shipped within a couple days.
My wife and I faithfully shopped there for more than fifteen years at the recommendation of our podiatrist, but certainly will not anymore. Tried to return shoes purchased there and sold-recommended by one of their self-proclaimed "expert" salespeople. Was out of the country for two months, and when I finally got home I began to wear the shoes and realized that the shoes were causing back and leg pain. Tried to return them, but was informed with "attitude" by the same sales person who recognized me as his customer that the store policy was only thirty days on returns. So much for long-time customer loyalty. Goodbye, Spikes...
Spikes has been my go-to for shoes for over 15 years now. Unfortunately finding 4E width athletic shoes is harder than it sounds, but Spikes always pulled through with a great selection up until recently. The past few times have been slim picking, as in they only had one or two pairs to try. Not a big deal because I've been wearing Brooks Adrenaline and Beast for years now which they always carried. Today I went in, there were literally only four pairs of shoes on the men's side display, none available in width. I honestly didn't think going to a shoe specific store would require a call-ahead, so it was a 1 hour 30 minute round trip almost wasted. Dick's had a far better selection and I was able to snag the shoes I wanted for about $20 cheaper over Spikes. If it weren't for Spikes knowledgeable and friendly staff, it would be a one star from me. Must be under new management or owners because it's gone downhill the past few years.
If i could give them zero stars I would!!! Absolutely a horrible experience they measured my feet had me walk around so i thought they new what they where doing. Since they were the shoe people I took there recommendation and bought a $115 dollar shoe.long story short the shoe sucked I barely wore them a couple of times to run but didn't like them so i checked the receipt and it said 30 day warrant bring receipt.when I went back one young sells guy was giving me a hard time and being sarcastic with me,they told me they couldn't give me my money back and eventually brought out a few shoe options,knowing that I had no options I picked a new shoe from one of the two he brought out held my head low and just left.I looked the shoe up and it was $35 cheaper then what i paid for the first shoe and the shoe has the same problem as the first, since they didn't know what they where doing they sold me shoe not wide enough,so now I can't even where the shoe and I'm stuck with it and out $115!!!!
If your serious about your footwear be it a runner, walker, or just want to stay comfortable on your feet all day Spikes is the store for you. Their professional experience and attention to detail is light years ahead of what you’ll get at the branch stores. They also are supper supportive of our local community from the local events to area the youth teams!
This placed changed my life!! As an older and slightly overweight Registered Nurse, I was having issues with my feet and back hurting at the end of a long 14 hour day. I have tried several different types of shoes, some way more expensive than others, and nothing was helping very much. A co-worker suggested Spikes so I gave it a try. The staff was so friendly and helpful!! They really took the time to watch how I walk, measure both length and width of both feet, and really made an effort to put me in the right shoe. They even gave me a free pair of expensive socks to try. I will only buy work shoes from Spikes from now on and shout their praises to anyone who will listen. Customer for life!!!
I went to Spikes on a Co workers recommendation. My feetknees and back have been hurting for quite some time and I work on concert floors all day .The woman there worked with me for about an hour,very knowledgeable and professional. .I got a pair of shoes and arch support and my pain and discomfort have disappeared! So thankful! Definitely recommend and I'll be going back!
This is a fabulous Shoe Store. If you have hard to fit feet, this is the perfect place. My husband has a foot brace that is very wide. They are ordering 6x widths for him.
Best store for running shoes. Unlike going to a big name store, the staff at this local gem actually take the time to see how you walk and recommend a shoe based on your needs. Always friendly and knowledgeable.
