I am the owner of Spin Cycle & apologize to the customers who have responded negatively to my place of business. In response: 1 We do have air conditioning which is turned on when my attendant arrives at 9:00 am. Our a/c was out for awhile while we waited for shipment of new units due to slowdown of shipments during pandemic. Somethings are out of our control. 2 We do not offer restroom to customers in order to keep our attendants safe from Covid or the Flu. Most customers know this & use at home prior to coming to Spin Cycle. 3 My attendants have always worn masks - even today they do so. Today per Covid guidelines it has not been mandatory for customers to wear masks - it is their choice. We have proper signage showing guidelines. 4 We may be pricier than other lmats but we furnish full time employees for laundry cleanliness & your safety. Most lmats in the area do not have full time employees. Also available wash & dry supplies. 5 We do our best to give our customers a clean & safe environment to do their laundry. 90% of the time our lmat extremely clean & we take pride in this. This is done for you, our customers. 6 Our utilities have increased 3 fold over the last couple of years due to penalties for over use of water/gas & electricity. These utilities are what runs our lmats yet we are penalized $$ for overuse. 7 Utilities/insurance/rent keep increasing - during the pandemic we stayed open - ours expenses remained the same yet business dropped over 30% annually. Rent/insurance/payroll does not go down even if business drops as shown above. 8 We do appreciate our customers & it is important to us to keep a clean & safe environment for our customers & keep our machines in good running condition. We are not perfect but we sure as heck try to be. Thank you for your patronage.
Today's visit was shocking. It's Sunday and many parents were with very young children. My 3 yr old had to go potty. I am a paying customer, not someone off the streets that is disrespecting the use of their business. I was told there was no public bathroom but I have used it many times before when 3 yr old had to go. How can you leave your personal items behind to find a public bathroom when they are your responsibility? I contacted the owner who claims they stopped using bathroom due to covid per health dept. 100% ridiculous. I work in healthcare - hospitals have bathrooms. I respectfully abide by covid restrictions when needed. There is no masking here, no sanitation wipe downs, no social distancing. Nothing that would imply they are taking any precautions other than inconveniencing their customers. Nothing here would help their employees or customers prevent the spread of covid. You enforce all the rules or none. I was not the only parent upset and the poor employee was getting the brunt of it. Consider this for your visit.
This place is ridiculous. They do not offer a public bathroom. I have a toddler. Another father was there with two toddlers. It is impossible to do laundry with a toddler not needing to use the bathroom. In order to find a public bathroom you have to leave your stuff behind. What if someone takes it. Nope, sorry, there is another laundromat that offers the bathroom so we will go there next time.
Love this place. You need to pay $3 for a wash card. You load it with money to pay for your wash. U can use card or cash. The area is always clean and there's usually staff on site during certain hours. They open early and there's always parking. They don't mandate the mask policy. But I try and get there early to avoid the crowd because it does get busy
Since COVID happened, they increased cost to wash and dry. This location never needed to do so since they have returning customers despite the pandemic lock down, but greed encouraged it. Also, they don't answer their phones or respond to any messages. You're advised to message them online via Facebook Messenger, but don't bother, it won't be read and you won't get a response. In order to be heard, you'll have to drive there and speak to them in-person. Unless if you speak Spanish, you'll be the unfavorable customer whose bothering the staff for having any inquiry at all. Other than that, the machines wash quickly. So they're OK.
Spin Cycle Laundromat is a great place to do your laundry. I've been coming here for years. They have enough washers and dryers so you're not waiting, and they have the big 8 Load machines too. Their machines only vend from a money card that you have to purchase and then add money to. The card is 3.00 and it's reloadable. I think it's a good idea because then you're not carrying a huge pocket full of quarters. There are TV's and a place for kids to watch disney movies. They also have economy size detergents and fabric softener and dryer sheets if you need any. Plus they also do "Fluff-n-Fold"This if you would rather go that route. This is one of the better Laundromats in long beach in my opinion
First off..great location and convenient offerings inside. There is a "shop" where one can purchase washing essentials from an on-site employee and they offer fluff 'n fold services. A little more pricey than some other laundry places around my neighborhood. 4/5
I think they charge to much considering there's no AC and the vending machines don't work. I don't be back
I would of given 5 stars, I don’t understand why customers cannot pay with cash. Why pay for a money card and fill it with money every time? It’s a nuisance. If the card gets lost and has money/ credit, it means you are out of luck. First time ever, I forgot the card in the dryer slot. I had $10.00 in the card, well the dryer has mind of its own used up the $10.00. When I remembered it had crazy amount of minutes to dry and my balance .25cents. I was told by the attendant there was nothing she could do. OUCH! As much as I liked this laundromat, I will go somewhere else where cash is accepted.
Staff is always available to help and are very courteous. There are many choices of machines to use and it is rarely too crowded to get the laundry done quickly and efficiently, great folding tables to fold it all up and get out of there, laundry is not my favorite activity if you couldn't tell, but Spin Cycle makes it as tolerable as it could be.
