Went on a slow Thursday and would not say this is safe place for women unfortunately. Did not feel super welcome and instead felt very targeted. Had people saying we didn’t belong. Had a group who would not stop trying to hook up with us and when we refused they pretended to be respectful and friendly, but then lied about working there, tried to order drinks and get us to pay, kept trying to take our drinks out of our hands, then followed us to the next location and caused a scene when we were able to get a ride home away from them. Not the clubs fault, but just keep an eye out and use the buddy system. Seeing multiple other people in the reviews saying the same.
As of 04/17/21 This bar is Open...It's just picking up, they have still the distance and mask restrictions. If you go around 7 is better you have more chances to get inside and stay there or else the have tables on the street. Good music. I started feeling kinda going back to normal.
First time in San Jose, thought I would try this place out. I looked at there website and ubered to this bar. After waiting in line, I was told they only take cash. This was not on there website at all. The person in front of the bar stated that they don't update the website and basically told me I was out of luck. What place doesn't take a credit card in 2022? Had to uber back home as I didn't have cash or a debit card with me.
One of the funnest bars in the bay. Even more diverse than badlands in SF. Such a great mix of people whether queer or straight. The drinks are decent and weekends are always busy
lol leave it up to the staff to look for a reason to kick people out. People that paid for the overpriced drinks, avoid this place. Vaping? On the balcony? For the first time? They’ll tell you it’s the third time. Just go to SF; they like money!
I was here at the Splash one evening with about 50 friends. We were looking for a bar and found a very fun disco with good music and really cheap drinks! In this case the fact that the drinks were cheap did not mean they tasted bad ... all the drinks were good and the beers of excellent brands. the upstairs balcony is very nice and wide, the style inside is good and the sound system is excellent. Clean and tidy bathrooms. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun
Gay bar with cute bartenders. Too varied prices without explanation. One weekday night we came and it was $2 per cocktail and $3 for beer and the next night we came at the same time also weekday and was charged $7.50 - $8.50 per cocktail and $4.50 for beer. They have an open karaoke area.
I placed one star since I have not been there, but moving to the area. Does anyone know if they at least play reggaeton on the weekends? Website says Wednesday, but would be great if they had it on the weekends ‍.
This is not a safe place for women. At all. Not only are you constantly harassed by men but my girl friend was physically pushed by a grown man causing her to fall against the stage and one of of the dancers to stumble from the repercussion. We were kicked out because of that rather than the man who physically hurt my girl friend we told security, they didn't care. If you’re looking for a good gay bar to go to, ‘Toad Hall’ in San Francisco is a great one. Much safer environment with helpful staff and less aggressive straight men to deal with.
Loved the ambience.. cool dance floor and lighting. Good drinks and pleasant staff. Have a roof top patio for smokers. Open minded and lovely people.
