Owner might care about horses, but not as much as she cares about making money. Kid "volunteers" are given too much responsibility in caring for the horses. "Volunteer" is the term she uses to get around child labor laws in hiring young teenagers to do farm chores in exchange for meager riding time. Lessons are largely a joke, unless you like overpriced pony rides in which students aren't even allowed to use bridles.
Pretty much of a dump. Whole place is in disrepair, the barn smells bad, very small acreage for the amount of horses they're trying to board. Owner has "horsy" pretensions, but isn't really that good. Her "staff" is mostly little kid "volunteers," because she won't pay anyone to do the work. I would avoid this place, there is a real nice facility Bryn Taran about two miles away. Check with them. The only advantage to Spring Creek Farm is that it's pretty cheap because most people see it and drive away. The owner is desperate for money, so if you're willing to put up with the hassles, you may be able to work a fairly advantageous deal financially.
I called to inquire about pricing and availability and she was very rude. Would never spend money here
