Beautiful view from all sites. We were disappointed that the water had been lowered. Only tip to offer is sprinkle some sort of ant deterrent around every thing that touches ground leading into camper. We've been fortunate to never get ants at any other campground, but this one got us. We will definitely be back!! Restrooms: Very clean. Don't stock hand soap so bring your own. Dog-friendliness: We didn't take our dogs, but over half the people there had theirs and didn't hear of any issues.
Oooh I hate to write a review, because this is a hidden favorite of ours. I won’t give away our secret site, but all I can say is we absolutely love this campground!
Have been camping here since moving back from west coast. Only negative experience with a park attendant. Drives a red truck with navy vet tag. He is salty and seems to approach people with attitude when he drives up on cart. He seems to target women and children and is harsh. Reporter to park ranger last year, but had similar experience this year. The gate entry for workers is not friendly as they lock down @10 pm and not many outside the park spots. Coverage for Verizon is ok, water access is good and pet friendly. Just watch out for the rude old sea dog. If your male he doesn’t do much but seems to bully the women…
Loved this campground! It was so easy to book online. It is super clean and quite. Everyone here was so nice. There are mostly families and no large partying crowds. Trees provide a nice separation between campsite. We, and our dogs, had a great time!
Great weekend get away campground with spacious sites right on the water. We have been multiple times and have not been disappointed.
Nice campground. Large sites. We were right on the water and had our own beach which the dogs loved. Easy to launch kayak and paddleboard. Water and electric at a reasonable price. Bathrooms were clean.
Nice quiet place to camp. We live in Anderson so it was like camping in our back yard.
Beautiful place, nice, clean and so peaceful.
Beautiful and peaceful. Lots of space between RV sites. Plenty of pull through spots with the lake views at your door. Large dump station. We have a 43ft 5th wheel and we fit into our spot and had room for our Ram dually.
Good overall. My reason for only 3 starts is, since they've cut almost all of the trees down, the shade is almost gone too!! It basically makes it impossible to sit outside without double extra shade . If the shade is something important to you, I suggest, going to check out the actual sites before booking if you're able to. There are still some sites that have at least some shade & definitely more than others. Also, the ant problem that came along when all the trees were cut, seems much better this year! I guess the ants found a new home & all is well These pictures are site 36, first thing in the morning after a long, questionable, stormy night!
