This is the Official Facebook Page for the Springfield College Occupational Therapy Program.
The Occupational Therapy Program at Springfield College has been fully accredited as an entry level master’s degree program with both graduate and undergraduate entry points since 1991.
Students entering as first-year undergraduates may complete a bachelor of science in health science and a master of science in occupational therapy in five and a half years. The professional portion of the program begins in the student's fourth year and continues through one and a half graduate years, including two summers.
The OT department offers an entry-level master's degree program designed for people with bachelor's degrees in varying majors who wish to become occupational therapists. Students can earn a master of science (M.S.) in Occupational Therapy in as little as 28 months, or can extend their program to three, four, or even five years by attending part-time.
Fully encompassing Springfield College's humanics philosophy, the occupational therapy programs emphasize that health and learning are best gained through an approach that unifies spirit, mind, and body. The over-reaching goal of the programs is to foster in each student a strong sense of professional identity embracing the basic tenets and ethical practices of the profession.
