The Springfield Museum is an educational institution authorized by the City of Springfield, Oregon to acquire, preserve, and interpret materials that illustrate the history and development of the City of Springfield and surrounding rural areas of east Lane County.
The museum was organized for the purpose of serving the residents of Springfield, Oregon as the officially designated repository and interpretive center of Springfield's historical artifacts.
The Springfield Museum is incorporated by the State of Oregon as a 501(c)(3) private, non-profit organization.
