The front desk staff was awesome. Each evening when I returned they had a smile on their faces, They made me feel that they were happy to see me and that they were happy I was there. Also it has a small kitchen sink which is a plus. There was ample parking. Many restaurants within walking distance. The television options are plentiful and there is a personalized greeting on the television screen when you power it on. There are also two elevators which is also a nice plus. On the other hand, the water level in the toilet bowl needs to be higher, the head housekeeper needs to wait after she knocks before entering the room. She did this twice to us. The stairs are old and hollow. That along with the carpeting on the stairs need replacing. More breakfast options are needed. A television is needed in the desk area of the room. Safety: Better and brighter lighting is needed on the side exit doors and steps that lead to the parking lot. However, the hotel is located in a business district area which provides a barrier of safety.
The hotel breakfast was frozen burritos still in their wrappers and the towels were so thin they're see-through in some parts. The facilities and rooms seem generally run down like no money is being put back into the place at all. I know it's a business traveller's hotel so it isn't trying to be luxury but I expected more. The two stars are for the staff that were always pleasant and cheerful in my interactions with them.
The hotel is clean and updated. Everyone has been friendly and breakfast is great. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed and everything is in working order. I gave the location 4 stars because it depends on the individual. It's very close to 66 so easy to jump on the interstate.Rooms: 5/5
The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was nothing special, but you can find something to eat every day. It's not a modern hotel, but it's clean and the beds comfortable. There's also a smart TV, big enough to watch it from the bed or the couch.Rooms: 4/5
The hotel was just okay overall. It was generally clean and in good condition, but nothing stood out. The service staff was very pleasant and welcoming. However, the breakfast was fair at best because nothing was served hot, and even the coffee was just warm. Our real issue was with our room. It was not the cleanest because there were strands of hair on one of the beds, and there were small ants in the bathroom in the tub and around the floor. Also, the wallpaper in the shower was peeling off the wall. Had we been able to arrive earlier in the day and had not unpacked already, we would have pressed to change rooms, but we were only staying for two nights. I reported both the ant and wallpaper issues to the front desk attendant who promised to have them addressed after we checked out. The beds were comfortable enough, and everything in our room worked fine.
3.5 STARS. This hotel met our needs for two nights, but it was an average stay, at best. The rooms and bathroom definitely are in need of some TLC. The bathroom itself was very uninviting and drab. Wallpaper was coming away from the walls. There were not enough electrical outlets, and many of those were not usable and/or loose fitting for modern day charging needs. The "suites" barely had enough room for 3 adults and the trundle bed was un-sleepable. The hot breakfast for our group was okay and met our needs. I, personally, never saw a single hotel worker or cleaner, outside of two people - the employee charged with tending to the buffet and the clerk at the front desk. There are better choices to stay.
We were on a trip with a large group and the entire staff was so accommodating. We can’t say enough good things about the service we received! The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was above average.Rooms: 5/5
It looks nice and the breakfast is ok, there's no pool like the site says but there is a small indoor exercise roomRooms: 5/5
We held an event for about 80 people in their newly renovated conference room and it was a great experience. We worked with their Director of Sales to get everything organized for both the event and rooms for guests, and it was a big success. I would certainly work with them again to host another event in the future.
Came to this hotel after an aborted check-in at nearby hotel. We left that one due to cleanliness and maintenance issues, so when we got to this SpringHill, we were particular and needed two rooms shown to us to alleviate our concerns about the condition of the rooms. Chris, the guest service associate, was very sympathetic and worked hard to give us a good experience. They were able to accommodate our party, and to our happy surprise, actually had a rate lower. The whole hotel was updated and the business suite we occupied was very clean and in good condition. Hot breakfast was quality and in sufficient supply. Definitely stay there again if I am in the area. Location is about an hour in a ride service to downtown DC.
