I want to start by saying The Breakfast lady during the week is amazing she was extremely friendly and personable blue hair ! she needs a raise!!!! The weekend lady that did breakfast didn’t even speak front desk associates are hit and miss! Most were friendly and two not so much! Housekeepers and laundry staff were pleasant especially a young lady that I wish I had asked her name!!! A young light complected lady! Rooms are spacious but definitely outdated! Had a dirty towel in bathroom upon check in and carpet n couch are stained. I would stay again though just for the service I received from the breakfast lady and housekeeping and the guy that maintains the cleanliness of lobby n elevators they definitely make you feel welcome!!!!
It's not expensive, but it should be so much better than it was. 2 ice machines out of order. 1 elevator car functional of 2. Trash under the heater in the room. Heater in the hall appears broken. Wallpaper peeling away. Now let's talk about the bathroom door. Look at my picture. I'll wait. Go look. Did you see it? That's right! There's no handle on the inside! And the knob is mounted backward in the door. So let's say you needed to use the bathroom and wanted some privacy. Someone outside the bathroom will need to both close and open the door for you. If there was a fire, you'd be dead in there. I've been a Marriott rewards member for years and this is by far the worst of their properties I've ever stayed at. Don't waste your money here. Sleeping in your car is probably less nasty.
This is a very clean smelling and looking hotel. And the staff here is good with taking time to help you. The rooms are big enough for a whole family. The prices aren't that bad either especially since this is part of the Marriott family.Rooms: 5/5
Kitchen Lady is very polite and friendly made sure my work crew got fed even before breakfast hours because of our schedule. Workers have good customer service skills. Clean room serviceRooms: 3/5
Housekeeping did a good job giving us a clean room to start with. Our room had a crack in the wall of the shower and there was water seeping into the room carpet after we took a shower. There are obviously signs of water damage to the property that are not being repaired. The breakfast was truly terrible. The food ran out some time about 8 oclock and the food server rolled her eyes at me when i asked her very nicely if there was any more food. She then very slowly proceeded to put out some jimmy dean sandwiches, which were not very appetizing. The property seems to be falling apart, both in terms of maintenance and customer service.
We are thinking of checking out and moving to the Courtyard or the downtown hotel. We have smelled weed coming from a room down the hall on the daily. Our key to our room hasn’t worked any time we have tried to use it. I will be calling marriott as I think they would care to know how poor this hotel is being ran. Our shower had blood on the side of the wall and I wished we would have read reviews prior to booking. We won’t stay here next time we are in town for family.
My teenage son stayed here for the IHSA chess tournament this weekend. He accidentally left his AirPods in his room today before leaving, I have been trying to call the hotel non-stop for an hour and there is no answer and no answering machine. There's absolutely no way to reach anyone. I tried calling Marriott headquarters, and another Peoria Marriott, and they had no idea how to reach them either if they're not answering their main number. This is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. What if there had been some emergency? How would I have reached him? Does anyone happen to know of any way to reach this hotel? So frustrating!
I am going to amend my earlier 1-star review. The hotel saw fit to extend points for my earlier inconvenience as well as bought me a special gift bag with decaffeinated tea. I truly appreciate the gesture.Rooms: 3/5
I went from 1 start to 3. Our accommodations where not ready when we arrived. It took us 30 minutes to finally be set up in our room. I commend the lobby staff for noticing our displeasure. They gave us a discount on our room.Rooms: 3/5
Room is nice size, bed is a little too firm for my liking, breakfast is as expected. Quick in and off to highway.Rooms: 4/5
