Great customer service, front desk staff and eapecially Tim were friendly and welcoming. Stayed a week and after night one Tim welcomed me each evening asking how my day was in a sincere way. All staff were attentive and asking if I needed anything. Room was very comfortable. Hotel was kept clean.Rooms: 5/5
We arrived past midnight, and Matt was able to accommodate us with excellent customer service. Breakfast was great, I felt as if the woman running the show was overworked. It was very busy and there was only her working. Other than that, the building, lobby, and rooms were clean, and everyone was friendly.Rooms: 5/5
Rooms were clean, but small for a suite and the price. The breakfast was just bad. The breakfast area is too small for the size of the hotel. There were lines forming for mediocre food. We were there for 2 days, and it was the same both days. 1 waffle iron for about ~40 guests at a time. No sliced breads or muffins or anything. They had bagels, eggs, sausage and cereals. Location is okay. ~20 mins from Providence.
The rooms were clean and spacious. No issues with the sheets, towels, or beds. It was a little on the dim side in there. Definitely could use a little more lighting. Staff was friendly and helpful. When we arrived, the local ISP was laying cables in the area and therefore all systems were down. Internet and TV weren't working at all. The staff did their best with the situation and got us checked in as quickly as they could. Still, it would have been nice to have the price adjusted given that certain amenities were unavailable. Not the staff's fault though. The breakfast was OK, but the breakfast area could be organized a bit better. It became crowded very quickly and there was no flow, so everyone just kind of dodged and climbed over each other to get at it. We ended up going out for breakfast. It's located away from main traffic in the area in a side road that's pretty quiet, so that's good. I'd stay here again the next time I visit Providence.
The front desk staff is not welcoming at all. I asked questions when I arrived and she kept rolling her eyes. I asked for towels and she gave me SO much attitude. My rooms AC was broken and the vents were FILTHY, and also on a 90 degree day the heat was on when we arrived, who does that? Also the door to bathroom was broken and would not shut correctly. When I go to the bathroom I want privacy not the door wide open. Also our towel rack fell off which is a hazard. The sink to the bathroom is also not in the bathroom which is odd. Overall the room was very outdated and needs TONS of improvements. The hot tub was boiling and the pool was freezing. The upside of the hotel was Tim. Tim was the nicest man ever and talked to us nicely. He respects his guests and cares about their experience. He came to fix our AC and bathroom door and was very apologetic. Thank you Tim. Everything else was not good, will not be going back.
The pool was FREEZING. Like going into the RI ocean water during winter freezing. Before booking I asked the person at the front desk if the pool was heated. They said it was heated to 80 degrees, but every person that tried out the pool agreed that it was freezing. Some kids and very few parents were willing to brave the cold water in the pool, so there were usually lots of adults AND children in the hot tub. I only went to the pool twice, but each time there were no towels. One time in the 1-2 hours we were there the staff brought more towels, but only enough for like 1 family. Thankfully we brought our own towels because when my daughter went to the desk to ask for more pool towels the desk staff told her they would bring more as soon as possible which did not happen before we left an hour later. The pool is incredibly small, but my 3 kids were able to enjoy it with a few floats, diving sticks, and other toys. The whole building was kept at a nice warm temperature so we didn't have to wear coats to breakfast and we weren't chilled to or from the pool. Overall my family really enjoyed visiting this hotel, but I will continue looking for a wonderful hotel establishment with a WARM pool. Rooms: The temperature was already at a comfortable level, we didn't have to wait for it to warm up or cool down. Our room was very spacious, close to the elevator. Bedding was comfy, but a little far from the t.v. Pull out bed was easy to pull out and set up. The room already had everything we needed for the pullout bed. We had a smart TV and we were able to enjoy some movies while there. The microwave was ancient and tiny, but worked fine as did the fridge/freezer. We had plenty of towels and washcloths. There were large containers of bath wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. Also, there was a hair dryer, but we did not use it. We were too busy relaxing. Overall I felt the hotel rooms are well maintained and cleaned well between visits. Nearby activities: It is about 2 minutes drive from 95 so you can go pretty much anywhere fairly quickly. The closest restaurant is Wendy's. A little further away about five 5 minutes there is a big shopping plaza. There is a Texas Roadhouse, Chipotle, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Panera, Showcase Cinemas, Dave's Market, just to name a few. Safety: I felt very safe. You have to use a room key to access side and back doors, as well as the pool area and fitness center. Walkability: The hotel is in an urban area, but very far from other amenities. I would not recommend walking anywhere from this location. Food & drinks: Breakfast was okay. I am short so having the utensils on a high shelf was inconvenient, as was the toppings for oatmeal and cereal. Nothing out of the ordinary, but plenty of seating and plenty of food.
I come to town every few months and stay here. This past trip it slipped quite a bit. Breakfast pretty lousy, A/C didn’t work, trouble with lock. Will give it another chance but if things don’t improve I’ll stay somewhere else.
Great stay. Will be booking for next month. Friendly staff and updated rooms. Spoke with Rob that worked there quite a bit and he was a great guy and very helpful all around, will defintley stay again.Rooms: 5/5
This was one of the most inviting experiences at a hotel I have ever had. The management team all the way down to the janitors provided such an inclusive and comfortable environment while staying in Providence. It’s a no brainer to stay here. :Rooms: 5/5
