My family and I stayed in three different rooms in the hotel, and while we were in them we found black mold in the bathrooms of two of them. They paid for the room and moved us but I’m sure we didn’t get the only two rooms in the whole hotel that had black mold in them. The pictures on the website look nothing like the actual hotel. All of the door hinges and metal components were covered in rust and two of the bathroom doors did not work correctly, with one not even lining up with the door frame and one locking from the inside when you closed it. When we told them that they said, “just use a coin.” like that was completely normal and a non-issue. If you choose to stay here make sure you’re checking your bathrooms and around the other rooms of it. Nearby activities: Nearby gas stations and restaurants that you can order from.
I have to admit this was a pretty okay stay, the room did smell funky when we walked in like maybe someone who stayed there before had pets in the room but it went away after a while. There was stains on the wall but we didn’t let that bother us too much. Room service was nice they gave us more towels when we needed. The pool looks nothing like the picture but it was still fun to go tan by the pool. They have a nice patio as well. As the picture of the room is not what we expected it’s pretty convenient price if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay for 3 nights.
I'm here for one night. In town for business. I really enjoy SpringHill Suites. I always seek them out. AC is frigid. Perfect since it's 95 outside. Room is clean as always. Bed is comfy. Join the Bonvoy and get the points. It's a great program. Free water on arrival. Great view out my window of the bay. Always easy parking, free breakfast. Easy check in and friendly service. I stayed 60 times so far this year.
While I will admit that for the most part I enjoyed my stay, I must detail that I did have tobswitch rooms after 2 nights due to the smell of mildew which gave me a headache. Once I switched rooms, I felt way better. My toilet would not flush fully so I had to call the employee, Joseph, up to help and he was very pleasant. My sheets were not being changed and my "new towels" would have brown skid marks on them when I would come back after a days work. It just seems this hotel does need a remodel and some renovations done. However, the true star was the receptionist, Nay, at the front. She was always so kind and friendly and if I had an issue she was quick to give an answer! She is such an asset and brought joy each time I saw her.
Great value for money, spacious rooms, good free breakfast and generally a good stay. Some of the staff were friendly-ish, some possibly she was the main desk supervisor could do with better customer service training to try not to argue/talk over the guest before you've even heard the issue. Oh and smile. Smiles can go a long way. The free breakfast was really good and once we worked out a few glitches, so was the free airport transfer. Overall, for how much we spend on one night, I'd say it was great value here just thst individual reception & housekeeping staff may need to improve a little. Rooms: The room was a great size for a family of 5 for one night, well equipped and mostly very comfortable. However, the shower room needs better planning/layout and the trundle bed wasn't too comfortable. Despite being a booked family of 5, there wasn't really enough bedding, but as it was a hot summer night, we made do with 1 bed's bedding, shared between the sofa and trundle and didn't bother reception. On checking out and checking we hadnt left anything, we found an item under the bed that wasn't ours, so the housekeeping could have been better. Walkability: You can't walk to anything from this hotel
Where to start... There was an issue of double booking the first night we stayed there. And it wasn't any of the staff's fault but it was incredibly frustrating that we had our stay booked for a few months in advanced, had called and checked in on our flight over, and then after arriving later than normal we find out that the shuttle is not running 24 like some websites cited. After finally getting there we find that the rooms were all completely full or dirty. The one front desk person peter I think was kind enough to go and clean some dirty rooms for us even though it wasn't in his job description and was able to help us finally into our rooms about 3:30. He was phenomenal. However the next morning when we talk to the staff about refunding we gave up one of our rooms for another guest who also didn't have a place to stay. They staff was unfriendly and not helpful. Then when we asked about the free shuttle we were informed that it only goes once an hour and will only fit 11 people. They were unwilling to make any other trips or accommodation. Which is incredibly frustrating because they advertise as a hotel to stay at before/after the cruise. So people are needed to be at the airport and by people I mean 50+ so it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a ride to the shuttle and makes it a pretty much worthless unless you are one of the lucky 11 individuals. That was just the first stay. After our cruise we stayed here again against our wishes because we already booked months ago and the rooms were filthy. Yellow stains on the sheets and the bedspread crumbs and sticky substances on the night stand. Dirt and garbage in the corners of the room, no toilet paper, etc. And that is just the room. The pool was also filled with trash and the outside furniture was covered in garbage and debris. To make matters just slightly more frustrating. Some of the cleaning staff was asleep on a couch in the room across from ours. We wanted to start our cruise well rested and then wanted to rest and relax before starting our travels home and we didn't get either. It was a truly awful experience. I honestly think a Motel 6 would be cleaner than this place.
We booked a last minute stay at this hotel night of June 17 due to disruption at the airport which necessitated us driving several hours with a short stay overnight. We booked through Hotel Tonight a bad idea, in retrospect. We tried to call to inform the hotel of our anticipated very late arrival, but all lines were unanswered. After about 15 tries over the course of an hour, we managed to make it through to the front desk, who noted that our reservation was not yet in their system and that they were about out of rooms, and therefore we weren’t likely to get one. Okay, normally, I’d be fine showing up, since we did have a reservation supposedly, but given that we’d get there around 3am we didn’t have the luxury of going on the off chance, so we made arrangements to go elsewhere. I do pity the staff that evening, I’m sure they were overwhelmed, especially as it was late in a Saturday night with hordes of misplaced travelers. Anyhow, all of this would have been very forgivable, apart from the fact they’ve taken our money anyway! They were the ones who said not to come. Therefore, we should not be paying for a service this hotel was unable to provide. I have attempted to contact a manager, but even now, the phone system seems like it would rather not get us anyone to speak to. Our voice mail has gone unanswered for two days now and counting. Another message my husband sent was ignored. I would be happy to delete this review if this hotel’s management can resolve the situation with us satisfactorily. Otherwise, I do not recommend this hotel, most especially for last minute accommodation.
Our stay here was very unique. The staff was decent. There were a few issues concerning reservations. Food flyers were advertised in the room that the front desk staff didn't know they were there? It was for pizza with a random person? I'm not sure about staying here again?Rooms: 2/5
If you are expecting to be picked up at the airport by the shuttle for this hotel then find another service, my group has been waiting on the driver for this hotel for over two hours in the hottest most exhaust fume filled tunnel under a parking garage that there ever has been. After many calls to the desk stating as much they keep telling us the driver leaves every hour to come pick up & is on his way but this could not be the case because we would have seen him twice by now. We exited the airport & called for a pickup at 7:20, it is now 8:55 & we are still here waiting and the shuttle stops running at 9. It is literally 2 miles away. We have now missed the ability to eat at the restaurant after a very long day of traveling and have to order pizza to our hotel, which after eating airport food all day is the last thing we wanted.
The hotel was not bad! We had complimentary breakfast which included eggs, potatoes, sausage oatmeal yogurt with alot of toppings, fruits , juices coffee and tea. The hotel service was absolutely amazing and so were the cleaning crew. The gym is pretty small but doable especially in the morning. They also have a laundry of 2.75 & 2.50 for a cycle. Our hotel room space was pretty neat as we had a nice lagoon view. There were lots of iguanas and lizards in the back which was neat to see. The only thing that i thought was not as convenient was the fact that the toliet/ shower was separate from the sink which was outside the bathroom.
