I toured the community with my grandma who is looking to start the next journey of her life. I was nothing but impressed. The campus is beautiful both inside and outside - clean and fresh. The staff are warm and welcoming and the current residents were friendly and easily approachable. Lunch was amazing!! I was surprised how relaxed my grandma was and how much she felt at ease while we were visiting. Nice work! :
This place was terrible all around. Mot only was it expensive, but did absolutely nothing to make this steep increase justified. They where deceptive, oh they never "outright lied", but certainly omitted key details that where obviously important to making an informed disision. Ultimately we where out $45,00. Buy in and $4,000 p/m payment. The beds that where to be included for the alzheimers patients, that didnt happen either. Ultimately after just 2 weeks they kicked her out! No money back, no desire to help or accommodate a frightened elderly woman at the end of her life. Without her husband of 65+ years for the first time, and due to alzheimers confused and scared most, if not all the time. The caregivers I was exposed to where awful, cruel, and not qualified to be in this industry, let alone running a facility. Do yourself and your loved one a huge favor and don't even consider this dumpster fire of a facility.
Before signing your contract make sure you will have recourse for unmet contracted services provided. This includes regular weekly housekeeping and access to electric vehicle charging included in cost of monthly fees, which are exorbitant and increasing in the midst is inflationary economics.
The residents here receive excellent personal care and attention as needed. Food is wonderful! Inviting atmosphere inside and located on lovely campus.
Beautiful inviting exterior but staff and management drama prevent this one from receiving a higher score. Residents are cared for relatively well and rooms and grounds are old but maintained. However I did notice many of the more disadvantaged residents did not look happy. Very few smiles and many were withdrawn and quiet. Activities and food did seem above average. Most healthcare staff appeared afraid of management and I noticed that turnover is at high levels at this property. They can't hold on to anyone and that's saying something. When I visited I noticed more than one account of employee bullying and mistreatment. If they are like that to the staff what else is going on? Steer clear. Redflag
Garth, I have tried to get a hold of you. Your mailbox is full and I don't have an email address for you. I would appreciate it if YOU contact my mother directly. 7/23/2020 We are not happy with this facility any longer. Our mother is in the independent section, and she is very independent. First, and most important there have been two separate occasions for which we needed staff to check on our mother and we could not reach anyone. Her neighbor across the hall had fallen recently and no one was available to help her. Springridge states they have a 24-hour emergency call system and reception desk. Second, the dining room is closed because of covid. They are now serving and delivering a very limited menu. Our mother is lactose intolerant, and they are unable or unwilling to cater to this need. We question why the dining room is still not open when other facilities dining rooms are. There is a patio that is not open. According to our mother, the quality of the meals has dropped significantly since the dining room has been closed. However, they just recently raised their rates for my mother. The last important issue is twofold. Our sister is in the ICU clinging to life due to cancer. A staff member said my mother faces eviction if she leaves to visit her regularly. Yesterday I needed to take our mom to the Doctor because she fell on her hand. My mother's doctor was out so her doctor office referred me to either an urgent care clinic or ER. Upon return from urgent care we were told by the same staff member the policy is residents can visit their doctor office only. No urgent care, no ER, no hospital or they will face quarantine. My question was why is a doctors office safer than ICU. She didn't know, she said it may be the cleaning products they use. If this rule was logical, so be it. How on earth does this make any sense? I told the staff member that we are aware of a friend of my mom's who was afraid to leave the facility to visit her dying husband of 40 years because she was afraid of being evicted. She told me that was just a rumor. It is not. We understand everything is up in the air with covid. We do expect to receive the services that are being paid for. We also expect our mother and everyone else's loved one to receive the best care and service possible, and to be safe. We are still awaiting a decision as to whether they will allow her to visit my sister. It's been 24 hours. My mom is ready to move out.
In February of 2017 I was invited to join SpringRidge At Charbonneau in Wilsonville for lunch. I was so disappointed when the presenter bragged about their meals and indicated that they use a bunch of bacon. He seemed proud that their food was so delicious. There is not a resident in that community that should be offered that kind of food. Today, I received a call from a woman from that community to see if I was interested. When I told her how I felt about what they serve to their residents, she indicated that if they did not do that they would not have residents. The reality is that they will not have them for long or healthy if they continue to do what they are doing. When I tried to say more she said “I’m going to disconnect this call now
I have a family member living here. It is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The entire atmosphere is happy and positive. The food is wonderful. You won’t find a better place.
I've been here a year now, and am very satisfied. It's head and shoulders above the other facikities I looked at. The staff is great, the food is very good with a large and varied menu, and the faciliteis are well maintained. The other residents are very nice, and I enjoy socializing. I especially like the bacon!
Kind, compassionate, and professional staff. Lovely facility with a variety of daily activities for residents. Meals are attractive and wholesome.
