History
Sr. Thea Bowman Catholic School of Jackson, MS continues the academic excellence of Christ the King Pre-School and St. Mary's Elementary School. These schools have served the West Jackson community for over 50 years. This resulting merger of the Pre-K3 through 6th grade educational program is our commitment to maintain a strong voice of academic excellence and character development that is rooted in Gospel values in a safe, nurturing environment with dedicated and qualified teachers. We have a proven track record of producing successful learners for life. Sr. Thea Bowman Catholic School is accredited and licensed by the Mississippi Department of Education and the Mississippi Department of Health. All of our teachers meet the certification requirements.

The mission of Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School is to provide a loving, Christ-centered environment with a quality academic education rooted in the development of character, compassion and Gospel values. The mission is realized through a faculty who will nurture in the students the ability to:
