I absolutely love St. Agnes Catholic School! And so does my daughter, so much so that we have a daily struggle when I pick her up from aftercare because she wants to stay longer at school. Ha! Now that's a problem to have! The teachers are absolutely AMAZING! The Principal Mr. Constante is GREAT he knows both me and my daughter on a first name basis! He has so much energy and love and care for the students, it's great! The staff and administration are literally our extended family! I couldn't have chosen a better school for my daughter to grow in education and spiritually.
Saint Agnes is an awesome school! Three of my four children have graduated from St Agnes and my fourth will graduate in a few years. Saint Agnes is an extension of students families and home away from home. Saint Agnes partners with parents to instill good morales, values, and education. Kids are loved, safe, and happy to be there. In addition teachers and staff are top notch. WE ARE BEARS!!!
I love this school. My daughter received a great education here. I even used to have her check MY papers for grammar. I love the diversity here, and that this is not an elitist school. Catholic identity is important, but students of all religions are respected. This school has a great, caring, faculty and staff. I love the St. Agnes family.
My youngest child will graduate St. Agnes this year. All four of my children have gotten into their first choice high school. They were well prepared for their next level of education. St. Agnes gave them a variety of ways to grow in and practice their faith, from the sacraments, to service projects.
St. Agnes's dedicated team of teachers and staff care about the development of the whole person, and make sure each student reaches his or her full potential. It challenges students academically, offers unique opportunities to participate in community service, and creates a team/family atmosphere and school spirit that is contagious and inclusive of all. My years at SAS provided a solid foundation, allowing me and my siblings to acquire important academic and social skills and find confidence that helped us navigate later chapters in life.
First let me start by saying 4 or 5 of the “wonderful” reviews on here have been left by teachers that currently work at the school. So the rating is biased. Wish I didn’t have to leave the one star because this school was a nightmare!! Both my children were bullied not just kids that went here but the staff and the principal’s resolutions only made my children feel worst about themselves. The principal had no regard for my family and what we were enduring as a part of the “St Agnes Family”. Unfortunately I also feel as though my children learned absolutely nothing benifical here to their education. Please don’t waste your money and spare your children from possibly going through this experience. I wish I could say we only experienced this but upon leaving, and thankfully relocating to a better school, I have discovered several former parents of the school the feel and have had similar experiences. What a waste!
I am not a staff person. My daughter is new to the school and so far, we are happy. All the children are very respectful and the school environment is nurturing which is what I expect especially from a parachiol school. There's constant communication so I know exactly what she's learning, where she needs to improve, and news regarding fundraisers, what the school expects, what we can expect from the school, upcoming family events, etc. My daughter really likes it. Correction..she loves it. All the families seem very nice and we all want our children to do well. The school not only nurtures the child...but the child's family. I feel like the school goes out of their way to try to make things as perfect as they can be and I think SAS is Catonsville's best kept secret.
Most of the reviews are from staff members. There is no structure in the school. The staff is not professional. The teacher aid in the school her mom teachers at the school she tells the kids MYOB mind your own business. How professional is that? When my daughter went to visit the school she attends now, she told this Admissions Counselor about the teacher aid. The children are out of control. Visit the school, teachers are yelling to control the children, the classes are overcrowded. My daughter was injured last year when another student poked her in the eye with paper. She had a corneal abrasion. The school did nothing to the child. My daughter missed several days from school and I had medical bills from eye doctor appointments. My son was in the 7th grade and during a parent teacher conference, the teacher stated they could hardly teach because the 7th grade class is always loud. Who wants to pay tuition for that? Please do not send your child to this school. Jacky Crespo is 100% accurate with her review. Many parents have removed their children from the school. Do not waste your money.
Most of the reviews here are from adults who asked their children was i am 11 years old and went to this school i did not enjoy at all i was always excluded i got teased and bullied a lot they dont even serve drinks for lunch except for on one day I did not enjoy the type of education they make you stay in your seats all insstead of letting students stand up strech sit on a bean bag or anything they just arent fit to run the school. but i think it is a ifne school.
a catholic school is the worst place you could send your child, this being one of the worst. they have no respect for you and don’t do anything when you have an issue. they don’t give you any freedom at all, you will look like clones and robots it’s disgusting
