Meet our Team
Doctor
Dr Michele Nelligan is an associate veterinarian here at St. Bernard's Animal Hospital. She joins our team with over 10 years of veterinary experience. Dr. Nelligan is a native Floridian, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Florida. (Go Gators!) After graduation, she completed a one-year internship in Small Animal Medicine, Surgery and Emergency Medicine at UF. She then practiced for 3 years in Shreveport, Louisiana and eventually made her way back to Florida with a one-year stop in Dallas, Texas. Not being content with the traditional medical and surgical tools available to help pets, Dr. Nelligan pursued and completed Small Animal Acupuncture training at the Chi Institute of TCVM in 2013. She strives to incorporate holistic and alternative options whenever available.
When she isn't at St. Bernard's, Dr. Nelligan is spending time with her three children. Her oldest son is active in soccer and chorus/theatre. Her middle son loves to play basketball and Minecraft. Her youngest daughter plays soccer and loves the mussels at Carrabba's! Their family is rounded out by two rescue cats Frick and Frack. In her rare free time, Dr. Nelligan enjoys weight training, playing softball and flag football, and enjoying the beautiful Florida coastline.
