My husband was the patient. He was seen in the ER quickly. The Dr was thorough, communicated very well, and managed the medical issue in a timely manner while communicating with my husband’s cardiologist and reviewing recent records. He ran a number of tests that were also conducted in a timely manner. We received the results quickly. Dr Hammond couldn’t have done a better job! I am very impressed with him as well as the service and care my husband received in the ER!
I had exceptional care in the ER. My nurse was outstanding and put in an IV better than anyone else ever did. The doctor was professional friendly caring and thorough.
Registration was a liitle hard to understand the camera, n hard to take a picture of insurance card when your hooked up to everything. But the care I rec was very good. Dr Kantor was on top of things. I know everyone is short staff. But the staff Was great. I would like to say thank you to the staff for all they do.
My experience was over the top horrible, totally inexcusable. I wouldn't rate it even a one. Maybe -100. So, so angry, worse off now, than when I went in
I visited the emergency room in extreme pain with nausea. I was told by the receptionist that she would be right with me.I waited 10 minutes in an empty lobby to explain my issues. It took a while after triage to get an available room. The staff was professional and courteous and very knowledgeable. Tests eliminated any internal issues but pain and nausea were both managed.
Was seen within 15 minutes of arrival. Julie was great. X-ray machine came right away and took X-rays of injury. Al came shortly after with boot to fit my foot and give instructions on best healing. Rice =rest, ice, compression, elevate. Received my paperwork and prescription. 3 pharmacies were closed so had to go to 24 hour on Richmond to fill it. Went home.
my son had fluid in on his ear...the first time I took him in they tried to drain the fluid and got some out bandaged him up and we went home... they told me to come back the next day if I had any problems... which I did .. when I arrived the Dr looked at J... never laid hands on him and said that there was nothing they could do and sent me home... my son's ear was still swollen blocking his éar canal and hot... I left and a friend suggested I take him to a different hospital which I did... J was able to get his ear drained completely and they wrapped his head differently... at least they helped instead of doing absolutely nothing. This is the first time I have had any issues as they have always been spot on. My son has many health issues and they didn't even seem to take that into consideration... will I be back? I don't know... because when you have a loved one who has problems healthwise your healthcare should be much better than to just look at someone...the pictures below showed why I took him back the second time and how effectively his head was wrapped at the other hospital.
The care was good for my son while we were there but they took an X-ray and said no breaks or fractures and sent us away. Once the dilaudid that they gave him wore off he was in so much pain that he could hardly breathe or move. We were home at that point which is a 35 min drive away from the E.R. After a very long and terrible night we went somewhere else and found out that a piece of his bone that attached to a muscle broke off. This is a very painful injury. The fact that they gave him such a powerful drug while we were there but then nothing for at home is ridiculous. I will never go back there again.
Slow , one hour response to be seen at early morning on 05/11/2023. Hardly any other patients in waiting area and others that were coming in after me were taken first. I told the receptionist that I had chest pains twice during the hour waiting. The receptionist didn't seem to care. Once I was able to see the ER doctor, she did a much better job taking care of me. Wondering if I came in by ambulance, more expensive on my part, if I would have been taken care of better to give this evaluation/survey a better rating. I was told by the ER doctor to follow up with my immediate doctor who is also ascension related on Madison Street, I did and it has been almost a day and a half and they don't call back or even send me a text message. I have tried multiple times, no response. That is very poor service by my immediate doctor. Not happy with the internal medicine doctors with Ascension. Someone should look into this issue of them not responding to serious medical COVID related issues I am experiencing.
I was seen at an Ascension urgent care. They told me that if my symptoms/pain got any worse to go to the emergency room, which I ended up doing much later that same day. The pain was awful. At the emergency room they ran one of the same tests that had already been run at urgent care. At urgent care that test came back fine. They ran a few more blood tests and I was given some pain medication while there. The medical staff that I spoke with said they had run all the tests that they could that were major and they’d be sending me home with a narcotic. They said that I should follow up/see my physician at the beginning of the week. It’s been five days of pain. I was told I cannot get in until the end of the week to see my doctor. They told me to use the narcotic sparingly. I don’t believe enough follow through or physical examination was done at St. E’s emergency room. I had even brought all my notes from the urgent care so that they could see what the problem was what had been done so that they could take further action instead of just giving me only the pain medication.
