The St. James Food Pantry is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the poor, the unemployed, and the hungry.
For the last forty years Saint James Food Pantry has been serving residents of Chicago’s South Side living in the zip code areas of 60605 and 60616.
The Pantry has grow considerably in the last four decades but we have adapted and grown to meet the needs of our neighborhoods.
In an average month St. James serves 1,500 families, distributing around 30,000 canned goods. But this ministry cannot happen without help. We are only able to serve such a large area of Chicago with help from volunteers like you. It takes at least 15 volunteers a day to fully staff the pantry at the minimum. Please consider joining the St. James Family by donating your time to help your neighbors.
To volunteer, contact our volunteer coordinator, Ben Carey at the pantry office by phone at 312.842.1919 Ext. 214 or by email at [email protected]
