St. Joe State Park

Description

Great day riding at a new place. Lots of different terrains and beautiful scenery. Unfortunately I did not get as many pics today. We had a few issues that demanded our attention with the four wheelers. Despite this we can’t wait to return. Lots of space to really open up the banshees, great trail riding and plenty of difficulty. Trails are well maintained. There are 54 miles of trails. Fortunately they have marked the grounds and give you a detailed map. Bringing the rv here is an absolute must for a few days. Huge concrete sites with very nice picnic tables and yards. Only down side is there are dump stations instead of full hookup. But overall this is one of the nicest places we have ever visited. Price is also unbeatable at 5.00 an atv. Think we found a favorite local spot for sure. #WorkHardPlayHard #BansheeLife
St Joe has changed a lot over the 20 years we have been riding there but its still our favorite place to ride. It has something for everyone. The parking area, bathrooms, changing rooms, and ORV clean up area are nice upgrades.
Hiked the Monsanto Lake trail. Trail Does not go all around the lake. Marked with orange squares. Paved halfway then rocky path up a hill to the paved bike bath.
SUPER FUN! It was 5 bucks per offroad vehicle to trailride. They sell flags and gear you may need at the office. Beaches at 2 of the lakes are free and fun to hang out at! Amazing place!!
Had a great time yesterday AND today 7/15 & 16, 2022, & helped with two "rescue" missions ..& WE WERE NOT in need of rescue ourselves. Yeah!!!! What a fun day with friends!!!
Love camping here definitely my favorite spot other than Hahn State Park! Spectacular hiking, gorgeous scenery and great fishing spots. Great if you do any kind of off road sports as well! Not too crowded on weekdays. There's always something to do while you're there.
Great park with awesome scenery. We hung out at Monsanto Lake and we're wine of the few people there for a while. It was very peaceful and serene. I plan on going back to hit the hiking trails. 1.5 hours from St.L and totally worth the drive.
Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Nice hiking trails, well marked trails. Wear some good hiking shoes or tennis shoes with grip. Lots of leaves on the trail during the fall and winter you may find snow on the trail. Lake has designated swim areas and large grill boss pit. Great place to bring the dog. I would say leash your dog or be prepared to leash them if you see another party. It’s quiet here and the lack of people make startle other dogs or yours if you do happen to cross paths with others. Highly unlikely. If you hold your breath you can hear the earth
Kids had a blast. Nice place to sit back and watch the kids play . Relaxing but yet it's known to be very busy at times. Pretty scenery and lots of room for the little ones to burn off all that energy..
This place is great for every level of rider. Therenare so many trails and fun areas to explore. We also camped at the park. The spots are huge level and clean. The campground bathrooms are clean.
