Because we are called by the Gospel of Jesus Christ who saves us and blesses us, we of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, as followers of Christ, will through the power of the Holy Spirit:
Witness - that is, carry out God’s mission to increase His Kingdom by proclaiming His Law and Gospel, God’s judgment upon sin and His forgiveness and mercy in Jesus Christ, throughout the world, and by sharing His life through Christ-like words and actions;
Receive and Celebrate - Christ’s blessings in Word and Sacrament and in our daily lives through our worship as a congregation;
Nurture - by providing opportunities for people of all ages to grow in their faith, understanding, knowledge and wisdom;
Be Faithful Stewards - by managing all of God’s gifts to us responsibly and joyfully for the glory of God and the benefit of others;
Serve - God and his kingdom by doing whatever is necessary to help our fellow Christians and other in any need of body, soul or spirit, responding to their spiritual, physical and emotional needs;
So that we may glorify God and further His kingdom.
Our school’s purpose is to nurture children academically and spiritually toward a life of witness and service in Christ.
