We had a great morning on the beautiful St. John’s River. Captain Wild Bill was very entertaining, taking time to show us some outstanding wildlife along the river. We saw lots of alligators, most of which were in the water, some basking in the hot sun, along with lots of beautiful water foul as well as turtles. The highlight was the 2 beautiful barred owls where we got an up close view of these magnificent birds! Thanks for a great tour! We will definitely be back to do this again.
We made last minute plans and went on a river tour with Captain Colin. It was so relaxing and fun. I took my 4 kids ages 9-14, my mom and sister and we all had a blast and learned a lot too. It was the perfect amount of time. We spotted lots of wildlife and Colin knew all the names of the different species and plants too. Growing up swimming in the St. John’s, it was nice to learn some history and real names of things. The boat was covered so I didn’t even have to sunblock my kids. Definitely recommend. There’s a restaurant right there on the water too. Perfect Florida day.
Me and my family had a fantastic experience. Colin was a great and knowledgable guide. We were extremely lucky to view a group of manatees out of season, and the tour was very comfortable. I can HIGHLY recommend this tour if you are into a low-key river trip with amazing nature/scenery
My Dad was visiting and we wanted to show him nature along the river. This eco tour did not disappoint! The time of year and time of day that you go out will affect the kinds of wildlife you will see. We saw a multitude of birds, plant life, and even spotted a gator or two. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the river and local ecosystem. It was a very pleasant way to spend the morning and we ended the tour back on dry land and had a nice lunch at the Swamp House not included with your ticket.
We had the best time on this cruise. Saw lots of wildlife & had the most knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend this to see a little bit of old Florida beauty!
Amazing tour! Tour guide was very knowledgeable and his friends where amazing to see picture bellow. Would recommend to anyone that loves nature and a very pleasant boat ride.
Excellent tour! Colin and Geoff were great. Boat very comfortable. We saw lots of birds, animals and a couple of manatees. I highly recommend
I’ve been to other boat tours in the St. John’s river, but I’d go back to Captain Colin’s tour time and time again! He’s professional, funny, and extremely informative when it comes to to local area! I really enjoyed how he would talk about how the indigenous tribes of central Florida would use nature’s resources and how they’re used to this day. Special shout out to the beautiful owl we stopped and saw! Thank you Captain Colin for a wonderful experience!
This was an amazing experience led by a really great and knowledgeable guide who had a good sense of humor as well. We went with our kids and they all loved it. We saw tons of wildlife the entire time including alligators and thousands of birds. I highly recommend for those looking for an authentic and relaxing Florida experience. This is way better than Disney and at a fraction of the price as well!
My husband and I went on the St. Johns eco river tour with Capitain Colin about a month ago. He was very knowledgeable about the area and especially about the various types of birds. It was a very peaceful tour on the river. We were lucky to see a mantee up close chowing on grass and an abundance of alligators. So many that we lost count. We had such a great time and hope to go on another tour with Capitain Colin in the near future. :
