My surgery went very well! Now I’m on the road to recovery! I’d like to personally thank the nurses , the staff , and the Surgeon for getting me fixed. Can’t wait to get back to action! This hospital is way nicer then Trumbull Memorial.
Can’t go less than one star. I’m waiting room for over half hour in emergency and still no one to check us in or even come out to see us. I called and the lady told me to sit and wait a few minutes and someone would be out. That was 15 minutes ago. 34 minutes and not a soul in here.
I've had 2 children here. My 2nd son was born in November of this year, and I just have to give a shout-out because I know L&D nurses can tend to get a lot of hate at times. The nurses here were so amazing and gentle with me. I had a scheduled c-section so I was terrified & they all kept me calm & never made me feel judged for how scared I was. They were all so nice. And the lactation nurse really helped me learn how to breastfeed/pump. Everyone made my birthing experience amazing.
Always have been treated nice but, 1 time! They saved my life 3 times, only complaints I have, is their food now Sucks! Where they are contracted from, it's AWFUL! And 3 times I came in, only to be sent home, and then had to came back next day to be admitted! Two other times 2 Wonderful Doctors intervened, when I was being sent home, and to them they saw I needed to stay and made the ER nurses admit me. One thing is IN emergency type situations, they are on top of it. They have Doctors there that should be huge major Hospitals!!
Emergency room, the worse experience... They have new personal, inexpert, insensitive, unprofessional specially with old people... but not only the new personal, the ones already working for Mercy hospital ER department too ... don't take your parents there alone ... The last 2 times we had the same experience. I was there with my mom and I have seen how they talk to old people. This is why I stayed with my mom. The last time we waited for more than 3 hours for the nurse to give us the results for my mother lab work, we knew the results were released because the email sent to us from their system, but she forgot she said ? How come, we were in ER not in a water park. The doctor in charge of ER didn't talk to us because he already talked to the nurse there was nothing different he would said to us, the nurse told us. So our questions never got answers from the doctor in charge. They may said we're busy but still, and I noticed many empty beds. We were there for more than 12 hours for my mother"s blood count, no water, no pillow... the nurse said, I will be back with it, but nothing the entire time, we got a blanket but from cleaning lady. I will never take my mother there anymore... They should know , health care career is vocational, of course if they know what that means... obviously they don't; shame on the hospital for having people like this and shame on them.
A lady tried to force medication into my arm when I wasn't consenting to it and it was a drug I didn't even need for and STD that I don't have. I literally tore the iv out and left because she ignored anything I said and tried to inject me without consent. Bodily autonomy is not in her vocabulary. As a breastfeeding mother I am not going to just let something inside me without fully understanding what it is and if it will effect my baby. If I could give 0 stars I would
Horrible last night, I know everyone is short staffed. I know we all have bad days, but those people in the ER were horrible. No people skills, no compassion for anyone there. The one nurse said to her coworker in conversation “ I don’t care, I’m outta here in 4 days anyways”. Was there for 10 hours. There wasn’t one nurse or one Dr that came out to update me after they took my mother back. And I wasn’t allowed back there with her.
The staff was so friendly..helpful. Did well at answering questions, following up with requests in the ER. Once admitted my husband had great nurses and a wonderful doctor!
I am in room 417...it is 9:35..no breakfast...Neuro doc released me..other issue is my shoulder and my ear nobody has looked at it as I have requested more than several times..worst hospital I have ever been in...My daughter me food in last nite no tray...This was a good hospital. Not now..no communication with doctors..
Every time I’m at this hospital they always screw me over. I used to come here with no problem but no. They keep calling people back who just walked in while I’m sitting there for almost 2 hours waiting on bloodwork. This hospital is a joke
