I don't know what I was supposed to expect in terms of maintenance, but I went to visit my parents and found that the flat grave markers in their area were completely grown over. Noticed that some others were being pushed aside by tree roots. I guess we should have gone for a pricey mausoleum in order to be treated with any respect.
I always loved the tranquility and beauty of this place and have many early memories of my mother bringing me to visit her father's and grand parent's grave. Mom would bring some nice flowering plants and I was tasked with watering them from a spigot located conveniently nearby. The gently rolling landscape is filled with many mature trees and a quiet stream that flows slowly through. Possibly one of the most peaceful places I've ever been and certainly one that has impacted me for a lifetime.
Needed a quiet place to eat my lunch on a road trip home. Wow the statues
Well I had to change my review of the cemetary today. Yes I was unhappy with the flowers being thrown all over after the burial but today when I had trouble with the people who I purchased the stone from. they are very close I waited 3 months and got the run around about why my ex husbands stone wasn't being put in. Saint Lawerance helped me and promised as soon as the stone was delivered they would put the stone in. The process of getting the stone from the place was hard and long and the cemetary was nothing but helpful. Thank you!
I live in another state and am not able to visit the cemetery very often. On a recent visit, I was extremely sad to see the state of affairs at these hallowed grounds. Grass was quite overgrown and fallen branches were around in several places. I'm very disappointed with the level of maintenance and perpetual care at St. Lawrence.
It is beautiful Catholic Cemetery, the grounds are kept up nicely. We have many family members buried there; most recently our son, so we visit often.
Beautiful well maintained Catholic Cemetery. Historic Veterans Section as well. Very well organized and directed by the staff.
I was unhappy that the office there couldn't even tell me where my parents grave was. Over the years "streets' have removed but I had an old map. But they had no records available. Do they just forget about people? So sad
