We treat individuals with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and much more.
St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) serves the St. Louis Metropolitan Area in providing the highest quality evidence-based behavioral health treatment. SLBMI’s multi-disciplinary teams are committed to providing excellent and compassionate care.
In 1995, St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute became an established resource for behavioral healthcare in the St. Louis Metropolitan Community with three locations, including St. Louis City, Chesterfield, and Belleville, Illinois. Our most valuable asset is our multi-disciplinary professional staff that includes psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, family medicine, internal medicine, nursing, licensed professional counselors, physical therapist, spiritual directors, art therapist and dietitians. Many aspects of our work involve multi-disciplinary teams working together to treat the individual needs of patients.
The Institute offers various levels of care, depending on the patients’ needs ranging from individual outpatient, family, intensive outpatient programs, and partial hospitalization programs. Patients and families work with our professional teams to identify problems and formulate individual treatment plans and level of care.
The Institute provides services for many patient concerns with specialized services for depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, OCD, child and adolescent problems, chronic pain and headaches, Women's Reproductive Health, and other/behavioral health issues.

We are a national leader in Behavioral Healthcare. The cornerstone of Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute is our reliance on scientific, empirically based treatments. In other words, these are treatments that have been shown to work. However, we are holistic in our goals, considering biological, behavioral, and emotional results, and integrating spirituality in the care of clients who want to work with spiritual issues in their treatment.
