St. Louis Park Public Library
"In 1913, the Village of St. Louis Park voted to establish a public library and reading rooms in a location on Walker Street. The next year, the library moved to Central Junior High School, where it remained for more than 40 years. In 1960, it moved again to Paul Revere Masonic Temple. The library opened in its first free-standing location in 1968 in a residential neighborhood near St. Louis Park High School. It was renovated in 2014."

One of my favorite libraries here in Minnesota. I’ve been going here ever since I moved from Iowa. I take my daughter here and she loves it. She likes to play with the magnetic tiles and sit down and read. Very calm and relaxing environment for the both of us.
We used the meeting room and the staff here are just some of the most wonderful people. Helped make sure we had everything we need and made us want to come back again and again. Thank you SLP library staff! And it's a great meeting room, too!
It's got what you'd want in a library. Good hours, nice location, big enough that it doesn't feel cramped but not so big that it's overwhelming. Easy to find things and check them out, and being in the Hennepin County Library system means the collection you have access to is incredible for the size.
Really enjoy this library. Like the ability to request books online and then they tell you when they’re ready for you, and they hold them!! Electronic check out option. Large parking lot. Beautiful landscaping outside.
Excellent! One of the few Hennepin county libraries open at 9am on Mondays. I'm hoping at some point all the libraries go back to normal hours. Tues, Wed, Thurs only open 12pm to 8pm. Friday, Sat open 9am to 5pm. Sun 12pm to 5pm.
Nice and quiet library. I got some good travel books and magazines here
The St. Louis Park Library is an exceptional place. It has computers and patient friendly staff available to assist seniors and others who may be "computer challenged use them to access they internet as well as the library system. I had not gone there long nor often before they knew my name and greeted me as I entered. It is like a friendly small town.
Very quaint. Nice play area for kids, with roll play items and books are low enough for kids to sort through. Always able to come in and handle quick research or print job without having to wait for a computer. Good amount of upfront parking. Normally orderly and quiet.
The library is such a great community resource. Everyone who works here is so helpful and nice. It's easy to get books and movies and I like to just sit down and read in one of their comfy chairs.
So very easy and Covid friendly - online book holding is an absolute breeze and they always have helpful staff to get you in and out quickly with your materials. Only downside is the hours - I really wish they were open Fridays as I often times just can’t make their other days/hours as easily.
