If you value your health and sanity you won’t go here. I’ve never met doctors and nurses so under qualified for the position they were hired for. The one woman doctor had to physically pull out her cell phone and google in front of me what it could possibly be I was in utter disbelief. Fast forward to my next appt 4 days later it was a follow up from the previous appt I saw an older male doctor he told me he wasn’t concerned, physical therapy wasn’t needed and neither was an mri. I went out of my way to go to the actual hospital after I was told this info that I knew couldn’t be right and found out EVERYTHING they said was WRONG for not needing and mri or physical therapy to it actually being so serious I now need surgery. Saint Luke’s care told me I had nothing to worry about and that I didn’t need any of that stuff they were so wrong and terrible at what they do don’t go here it’s a waste of time and you WILL be waiting for hours.
Marlene at the front desk was extremely rude. She said she wasn’t sure if my insurance was accepted it was because I’ve been to 2 different St. Luke’s urgent cares multiple times with the same insurance. I waited patiently for about 5-10 minutes while she proceeded to do a bunch of stuff on the computer then get on the phone and not communicate with me about what was going on. Then she tells me the insurance hung up on her and wasn’t sure if they’d call back or not, but on her end it was coming up contact payer and there was nothing more she could do. I could call them if I wanted, or be seen but I would get a billed for the entire amount because the insurance is denying it. I call the insurance out in the car which we all know takes forever. Finally I get through to someone and she tells me there’s no reason why it would be denied right away like that. I asked the lady from the insurance if she would speak to the receptionist and she says yes. She calls urgent care directly and Marlene tells the lady from insurance she’s gonna have to wait because she’s not on that screen anymore and multiple other patients walked in at the same time I came back in. So suddenly everyone that just walked in was ahead of me even through I’d been there for how long at that point. Also I wouldn’t have had to go out to the car in the first place if there was more than a few seats in the waiting area. She was completely lacking all professional communication and some computer system skills. Any good medical receptionist would have done a much better job advocating for the patient to get care and not just shoving them to the side. After getting fed up with her at that point I walked out and went to the St Luke’s urgent care in Quakertown. I received care within minutes and no issues with processing my insurance!
Will never go here again. PA prescribed same over the counter regimen I was taking at home. I would have never gone to urgent care if it was helping. Told I should not be looking for antibiotics, even though I am a nurse. I know white patches in your throat and brown sputum are not symptoms of viral infection.. Guess they are covered by giving you a paper that says stay home, if you feel sick and contact your health care provider. They have no responsibility to help you. Go to your family doctor even if you have to wait .Dont waste your time here.
Twice now I have gone because I needed a covid test to return to work. Called and left a message like the sign says... more than once, but waited for 3 hours with no call back. It was busy and messages weren't being checked. So tonight I left 2 messages in case they weren't being checked, and the 3rd call someone answered, took my info and said it would be a 45 minute wait. Myself and the man in the car next to me waited from 5:30 - 9:40 watching ppl going in and out even well past 8. Lights go out and the workers leave, and when we said we been waiting since 5:30 we were threatened with the police. I said around 6:30 I was told I'd get a call when someone was coming out and was threatened with the police again. Go somewhere else for a test if you need.
After waiting in the lobby 20 minutes I was shown to an exam room and left there for another 45 minutes. No one ever came. I finally asked for my co-pay back and left. I was told that there was only one provider on duty. If they had told me that when I checked-in I would not have stayed and gone through all that. Management needs to put more staff there AND they need to be more honest with you up front.
This facility is just what our community needed. I was treated with compassion and professionalism that is unrivaled in any other urgent care I’ve ever been to. My Care team of PA-C Sandra Fernandez, nurses Diane and Wendy and intake staff person Ray all went above and beyond to make my visit a comfortable, fast and successful one, with a good outcome. I sincerely appreciate everyone at this facility because when my PCP’s office is booked solid, I know I can count on This facility to take great care of me and my entire family.
As a walk-in, I was treated in a timely fashion. Ray at the front desk is polite and efficient. The nurse taking my history and VS was thorough and professional. The physician who treated me was attentive and caring. I went in for what I thought was a minor ear infection, turned out to be something much more serious. He researched the issue, reviewed symptoms and escorted me right upstairs to the Family Practice suite to get established with a physician who could further my treatment.
Don't bother with the "skip the wait, reserve your spot in line." It doesn't work that way. You are definitely better off to just show up. Aside from the scheduling snafu, the nurse was wondeful and the PA was quick but thorough.
Waiting area is small and not well ventiated. Should be able to give name and wait outside to be called. Only given that option after two possible covid cases were directed elsewhere. Nurse practitioner who came in to see me had her mask under her nose. I do believe that it slipped when she entered the room but she should have removed herself to fix that problem instead of continuing her exam of me. Only left to get a new mask after I expressed my extreme discomfort with the situation. Did apologize for the situation but should have fixed it for my safety instead of waiting for me to say how uncomfortable I was with her mask resting under her nose.
We scheduled our appointment online. We still had to check in when we got there but our wait time was much less than normal. We absolutely loved Dr. Burtaine!! He was so nice and did a wonderful job with my 5 year old. He made the visit fun for him! We will definitely use them again!! Highly recommend!
