I was in the hospital with a non healing wound on my ankle from Monday to Thursday. I had the GREATEST nurses and aides. Everyone I met was wonderful. I am a smoker who had to deal with not smoking, plus not wanting to be there, and also trying to keep my independence. In short, I was probably a horrible patient! My day nurse, Elizabeth had the most patience and attempted to answer every question, double check orders, ECT. She and Mary are the sweetest nurses. One of the aides Latasha D, actually hung out with me during her lunch break and answered questions. The doctors, housekeeping, kitchen, everyone was amazing. One lady actually called maintenance who was very busy three times to go up to my room to fix air conditioner, and they finally got it fixed. I know they had some hard shifts while I was there, and listening to them interacting with other residents impressed me. Thank you for helping me get better and get back home! I'm sorry I don't remember all the names. And thanks again Elizabeth for all your patience with me! You guys are wonderful!
I want to say my stay at St Luke’s campus hospital was a very pleasant experience. I wish I could have stayed longer. Everyone was so nice to me from the Doctors to the cleaning person.I want to say a special thank you to Kacie Smalley RN. I could not want a better nurse. Thank you Kacie for all you have done for me. Not too leave out the food it was really restaurant style. Good job St Luke’s and keep up the good work. Thanks again.
Today I had surgery done on my finger here and I gotta say... Absolutely impressed with the staff. Everybody was excellent, doctor Jacob explained things to me clearly and calmly and seemed to have done a great job on my finger. Eric the nurse's aid was very friendly and caring. And Layla from recovery was exceptionally pleasant. Couldn't have asked for a more interesting person to keep me company while waiting for my anesthesia to wear off. I even got a history lesson on how Michael Jackson bit the dust ... thanks Layla
I was APPALLED at the script the nurse was required to read to me on our call the week prior to surgery. I do not need to be 'up-sold' on procedures/concerns that appear nowhere in my chart. As these services were not requested, charted, nor needed, it had me question the motives of care behind the St Luke's practice as a whole. I was no longer confident in bringing my concerns to the nurse as she was now a salesperson, not a medical advocate. The receptionist at Same Day Surgery check-in did not make eye contact with me once during the walk to the room, providing pre-surgical wipes, or prior to leaving. Both parties were 'first touch' representatives to the surgical process and the day of surgery. I did not feel valued, cared for, or, day of surgery, even acknowledged. This feedback was included in a personalized survey sent to me after my procedure, but no one has reached out despite my request. The boilerplate response below is only because this feedback is public. If St Luke's was at all interested in improving patient experience, I would have been contacted months ago. Dreadful.
Our loved one has been in this hospital many times. While the care seems to be fine, our big issue is there is zero communication from the medical staff with updates. And when you try to call the ER or a nursing station on the floors, they rarely answer. When you leave a message for a callback, you don’t get one. Even the operators seem frustrated by it.
Our family had a fun night planned until a simple accident almost ruined the entire night. However the entire staff cared not only to the injured, but to the entire family. After the trauma was taken care of we still we able to make the planned event. I work in healthcare, and I expected we were going home after the ER visit. As I drove to the hospital I expected the night to be ruined, but was left utterly amazed by their care.
Horrible. Was there for a kidney stone. Doc said waiting on pee test. Never took a urine sample. My friend was in ER for a crisis. 2 days in a hallway. Is a diabetic. Never once checked their glucose. Big joke there. Never again. I'll die before I go there.
The worst experience. I had to question whether or not I was in America or a third world country with the poor care I received. I was seen by a physician assistant. I can only hope & pray this lady never becomes a doctor. The poor care an lack of compassion I received today is truly heartbreaking.
Dr Hahn, the nursing and wait staff such as Amanda and Leanne were all very kind and courteous and professional during my ER visit for their busiest day of the week I couldn’t be more thankful for the kind professional care I received!
My wife I and took our parents to St Luke’s for COVID vaccines. The US government should follow this hospital as the model for administering Covid Vaccines. Super efficient operation from the time you walk in to the hospital. There are clear signs posted see pic there is no confusion at all. You know exactly where you need to go. Then you are greeted by wonderful friendly staff. Everyone knows their roles and carry themselves professionally. From confirming registration, pre-vaccine area, vaccination, to post vaccination, the entire process flowed seamlessly. Thank you so much St Luke’s !!! You are the Best !!
