Very disapointed in the nursing staff. My nephew was in a bad car accident, brought in by EMS, they would only allow two people in the room at a time which I understand, we came out so others could see him, next thing I know he is walking out discharged, I said what are you doing and he said they let me go, I said they cannot discharge you without an adult and they did. He had facial injuries and a broken nose, no where in the paperwork did it even mention his face. I ask to speak to the discharging nurse and she came out and I could tell right away she was aggravated to have to talk to me. I ask her why he was discharged with no adult present, he is 16 years old and she did not answer, I ask her was his nose indeed broken and she said yes and I ask her why it is not even mentioned in his papers, we went back and fourth with no answers nothing was explained to an adult about any / all tests that were done, what about the CT scan results? and she walked away. Then the RN that was in the lobby loudly told the lady at the front desk to tell us to leave, she was sitting right beside me so I ask her what is the issue and she said we needed to leave, when a young teenager has a bad car accident people are going to show up to check on him, mind you there were six of us total, that was it . Not to mention he did have a broken nose and his face was severely swollen and she told us to just give him tylenol. Nothing more was done, I always recommend this hospital / ER to my patients but i will never do it again. Healthcare should do better. If I did not have the medical background that I have and knew to ask these things what could happen for someone who does not know to question it?
So far so good. They had me arrive at 6:45 for a 7:00 stress test. No one was at the main entrance but Rochelle directed me to the emergency department and David got me situated. I reckon you're gonna always have to wait for the doctors.
I live in Florida. We came to Durhamtown off road park, I was in a SXS as the passenger and it flipped over a couple times. I was wearing a seat belt and everything but I felt like I needed to be seen due to some injuries… We chose St. Mary’s and it was worth the drive. From the beginning to end everyone was very attentive and sweet… I was treated very quickly no wait times and thankfully everything was okay. If you’re hurt or feel like you need immediate care this is the best choice around the area for sure.
This hospital was like none I've ever been to. It was very clean, everyone that was working there actually cared and made sure my husband was comfortable while waiting on me, the doctor actually checked in and talked to me and all of the nurses and tech would come check in to make sure I was doing okay and ask if I needed anything. The doctor and nurses genuinely want to help their patients.I received more help and advice at this hospital than any I have been to regarding this issue. It's refreshing to go somewhere that doesn't minimize my symptoms. Needless to say, they got to the bottom of everything and I couldn't have asked for a better team. I must also add the young lady at the front desk was also very kind and willing to help. I don't have any medical insurance and she gave me paperwork to receive assistance and explained it all very clearly. All in all, everyone here seems to genuinely care about people.
I am so incredibly pleased with the way my wife was taken care of today. From the tech, to the nurses, to the Doctor, the entire staff was so caring and helpful to both of us. My wife came in for which is not new kidney stones. We know the pain and what it’s from, just simply need help with the pain and help passing. We saw the Doctor almost immediately and he was so informative and helpful. We are from Florida and we were on a small vacation when this had happened and we were scared about what hospital we would end up at or if the staff would be nice and I am overjoyed with how sweet and helpful they were. THANK YOU!!!
If I could give zero stores I would I went there 3 day a ago and I had to go to another hospital for the same thing I got bite by a spider and they couldn't see that they totally said was something else everything I go to this hospital they don't want me treat me what is going on with me I have to go to another hospital they need to get better doctors in this hospital this hospital is the worst I have been to I had one of the doctors in there ask me if I want him to treat me me like why did I come here for if you wasn't going to do your job that you get pay to do
We have lived here for 5 years and have used the services of the hospital several times from routing tests to emergency situations. Every time they have provided excellent, personal care. We are lucky to have such a new, well staffed facility.
I hate the service they gave me last night didn’t even give me any meds or kept in observation they just don’t have good doctors with my bp so high they still let me go. If something happens to me they are responsible
I came to the ER one night complaining of a fall tht i felt left me wirt chest pain and an earache. They did some xrays and told me to see a oral surgeon. I saw one two days later and it was a broken jaw at the jaws neck bone. He said he couldn't do anything for it. The ER staff wass Kristin and others who were fantastic! They were quick and kind and I was in and out in 30 minuts and felt better just knowing that it wasn't a heart attack I was having. Thanks St. Mary's for the quick and efficient manner in which you took care of m e
My daughter presented to the ER 5 months pregnant with severe abdominal pain. After checking in and waiting squirming in pain in waiting room for 30 minutes they finally got her back, only to tell her they had NO OB-GYN at this hospital and could not treat her. She was instructed to call her OB-GYN and go to Milledgeville over 30 minutes away. Seriously- they sent her away. Then, they had the audacity to bill my insurance $519.00 for checking in, and my insurance paid $159.46 with a $214.54 plan discount. We were then sent a bill $150 co-pay? This is borderline insurance fraud!! My daughter wrote an appeal letter to the hospital and it was denied! I question the ethics of this establishment and they seem to be money hungry with ZERO compassion or competence. *** I have already tried going through the Patient Experience line that is provided on the website and all the replies to the negative reviews. She promised me that an executive or senior staff member of the hospital would be in touch with me. NOT a word from anyone!! I even called the number back and left a message to let her know and no response.
