A local food pantry in operation since October of 1991 that strives to serve the local community with food and other basic needs.
St. Mary's Helping Hands, Inc opened in October 1991 in Frank Klear's one car garage across from SMECO in Leonardtown, Maryland.
In August of 2000, it was moved to Beck Road in Hollywood, Maryland.
In June of 2014, the pantry relocated to Old Village Road, in Mechanicsville, Maryland. This latest location is much more spacious and allows the organization to expand its services to offer a limited variety of coats and other items as well as more room to allow for future growth.
