Ms. March is literally the best teacher on campus!! You can honestly tell she cares about ALL her students from the heart!! I’d give her 1000/10!!
Love this campus and staff. Very helpful and set you up to succeed!
For the most part, this school is amazing. Great staff, clean campus, and even amazing students. The only issue is financial aid. They usually have some problems with that, at least in my case. They lose documents, charge 'out of state' when it should be 'in state.' Overall it's a hassle, but that may just be my experience. Overall, this school is worth it. It's an amazing school.
I loved going to school here. I've been to three colleges since i graduated with my A.A. from SPC Tarpon Springs Campus. The advisors are so helpful. I had my favorite professor here. I forgot his name but he taught Liberal Arts. I definitely suggest going to this school. You can still get a lot of fun experiences out of this community college :
St. Petersburg College is the best! They offer a wide variety of degrees, great professors, and one of the best music programs, a few. They've always been kind and supportive towards me. I'm grateful to be a student. A+++ Rock it out
Needless to say, SPC has taken me down a path that has left me discouraged as well as feeling forgotten. Being first in my family to attend college I had greater hopes. After receiving very little to no support from advisors, I come to realize you should not expect a response within a weeks time. At orientation I was told SPC treats their students like family but I feel that is not true. They have messed up my courses several times at my expense and have withheld my degree until I have passed the state exams. I was told to pass the exam then receive my well earned degree. But they forgot to mention a time limit and come to find out my course card is now expired and I’m having to RETAKE classes. Again, uninformed or supported in this matter. It’s all about money. They also don’t approve many courses to transfer from other colleges so be sure to do your research before transferring credits around and enrolling at this college. There are a few professors who have left me with experience I am proud of but otherwise please note my disappointment in SPC. There’s no middle ground, just a simple “you’re on your own” feeling and “good luck”.
The teachers here and education are surprisingly better than I expected. They work really hard to help students succeed and that is something that i’ll miss. However, what leads to me to make this bad review is their horrible financial aid office. Every year I had an issue with my financial aid and the people who work in the departnent are almost incompetent. No one answers the phone and you’re stuck emailing people who really don’t care to help you. After paying fees they still continued to mail letters and call me saying the fee that has already been paid is still due. The worst school i’ve ever felt with, i’ve had better experiences at universities..
Awesome campus. Not too small, cool food in the cafe, museum on campus is pretty sick. Always loving the credit card vending machines. Only thing is it's a little hard to navigate but you get used to it after a while.
I love my school! SPC had much to offer students or people who might be thinking of becoming a student. They have invested allot in making sure that students have the tools they need to get work done. Specifically the library and what they offer within.
I never had any issues going here for the most part, except one year battling for financial aid, but that was 2004. Hopefully the process of enrollment in regards to being able to talk to a councilor without having to take a whole day off of work and sitting in the office for hours has changed.
