I just visited my daughter, a student at MSU, and was appalled at the condition of the building and apartment. Entry door glass has been smashed out, walls have been smashed with insulation hanging out. Ironically the graffiti on the walls say "fix this." Carpet tiles have been ripped up and missing, garbage everywhere and hallways have obviously not been cleaned in months. NO SECURITY whatsoever - anyone can walk in. Daughter requested that the lock on her door be repaired and it took months. The building smells and the lighting throughout is severely lacking. Not a healthy environment for a female student or, for that matter, any student.
Since I've been here in May, the ladies in the leasing office have been so friendly and kind. They are definitely trying their hardest to make living here as comfortable as possible. Going to them to talk about anything is so easy, they're so welcoming to everyone who comes in. My apartment space is very comfortable and again, they are trying their hardest to make it easier and better for everyone here.
This is a great place for college students to get there first apartment. It is close to campus, had some small stores in the general area. Each tenant gets their own bathroom allows for some added privacy and there own space. The rooms are spacious and have great natural light. They are also pet friendly and easy going.
STAY AWAY!!!! Do not walk…RUN from this place! It is horrible! When we moved my son in to his apartment, it was not even fully furnished. The head maintenance man came into the apartment and said he would try to find a coffee table and some end tables. Really?? The trash bins were seriously overloaded…literally overflowing into the parking lot. The kitchen was filthy! The blinds were damaged as well. The hall area was disgusting! As the months progressed there was a major shortage of staff, too. The office was only open a few hours a day. Nobody seemed to be able to answer any questions and assist their renters. This place is a disaster! My son only lived there for 7 months but did pay his full lease. He was recently charged $1000 for cleaning fees. When he moved in, the living area of his apartment was not even clean as there were two renters already living there before he even moved in. Please take my advice and do not move here!! The only way I can post this review is if I give it one star…more like negative 10 stars. The worst!
I have been living at Stadium View for nearly two years and greatly appreciate all the work the new staff is putting into the community. They have been extremely helpful and patient and they are always willing to help out in the office. This is really making Stadium View an enjoyable place to live!
Stadium view is a fairly large apartment complex near campus, and is thus quite popular. The location is great. However, I hear many horror stories about management here. A few summers ago they kicked everyone out, then let them move back in without doing any cleaning. Broken things do not get fixed in a timely manner. Most people who live here that I talk with confirm this.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! I spent two years at Stadium View while a student. The management is terrible, the property is not maintained and is falling apart. They don't pay their contractors so nobody will work for them. The apartments are overpriced and work orders are never fulfilled. They will also scam you out of every penny they can. Avoid this place at all costs!
This property's renewal practices are high-pressure and disingenuous, at best. Being pushed to renew for the following year when barely two months into a lease is aggravating. Add to that a sharp rent increase with the threat of a higher increase if renewal is delayed along with the threat of having to move units if renewal doesn't happen immediately. Only to get a "black friday" offer that was less than the renewal amount offered weeks before. The company's draconian policies are enough to suggest you look elsewhere. On top of it, maintenance in these buildings is subpar with some amenities like the hot tub being promoted but having never worked in two years of leasing. As other posters have mentioned, the condition of the public spaces when I last visited were horrid.
I own a cleaning company in Bozeman. We have been in business 5 years, but this is the first time I have not been paid for a job. These buildings are in shambles, and it’s difficult to believe they are able to rent these apartments out without the city being after them for violations. I have lived in Montana since 1984, and for the first time, actually saw a cockroach infestation. We were not paid for the work we did, which I have heard from 2 other sub-contractors, that no one is getting paid. I am filing a lien on the property in hopes of getting paid. If other subs are in the same boat, maybe a class action is needed?
The only redeeming quality for this place is the location. I’ve lived here since May 2021 and move out in a few weeks which can’t come soon enough. The buildings are trashed inside and out. Siding and roofing are falling off the outside and carpet tiles are peeled off inside along with holes in the entry way dry wall some are being slowly fixed. Even some doors are broken. I’ve talked to neighbors who have things like broken bathtubs that Stadium View refuses to fix. All of my maintenance requests have been ignored so I’ve stopped trying. Amenities like the hot tub have never worked since I’ve been here. You are given a card to unlock the front door to your complex but don’t worry about using it because the front door to my building has never locked which is great. Also, not too long ago multiple apartments in my building were broken into and wallets, cash, and medication stolen. They came into my apartment and the others on my floor but didn’t take anything that we know of. When I went to the front office I was simply told that my security was my own responsibility and that Stadium View would do nothing even though they are responsible for the front door that won’t lock. I love how they care about their residents. They also have no idea who lives where and how to bill people. I had a roommate for several months before maintenance showed up and was baffled because their records showed his room as empty. They’ve had multiple full staff changes in the year I’ve been here and each one is just as incompetent. At one point I was solely being billed for the apartment’s electricity. I contacted the main office then the office in California. I spoke with multiple people at Nelson partners including Kathy Nelson but nothing happened for months until someone finally got around to it. In addition, they don’t consistently give notice to when they enter an apartment so don’t be surprised if a SV employee walks into your place. Don’t live here unless you’re willing to put up with a lot to live close to campus.
