This place has never done me wrong. The staff is always easy to work, and seem to be a pretty cool group. I would recommend anyone to try it out for themselves. Their service and expertise speaks for itself.
It was a pleasure today shopping at Standard Furniture on Centerpoint Pkwy. The manager Wendy and salesperson Joy immediately assist, went over, and beyond to help me find the dresser I was looking for at a fantastic price. They also have beautiful clearance furniture in the back of the store.
Worst experience ever. I have used them in the past no problem. However this recent experience will definitely have me looking else where for any future purchases. I ordered a complete bed room set in March. I was informed that the furniture was 8 weeks out. Which turned into July before I even got some of my order. The bed was fine the Dresser damaged they where contacted immediately it was not until September that someone finally came out to attempt to fix the broken dresser that I had to pick up the parts myself prior to this only for them to say that it can't be fixed. Also in September my final piece came the chest of drawers with a huge crack requested that this be replaced as well I'm not paying for any furniture that was damaged. It is now Nov my dresser is scheduled to be delivered on the 9th and no word on the chest of drawers except a phone call asking if I just wanted to keep at a discounted price no I absolutely would not. Whole time I'm making payments except one because at this point when the payment was missed I was getting the run around and informed them that I was not making another payment until my initial concern was resolved. As of today no payment is behind no one has offered to even give me any type discount other than keeping the damaged chest of drawers. The bed is the only item I can use the chest of drawers I cannot use as I don't want them to think that I caused any damage and the dresser cannot be used as it is now worse than it was before the guys came out to attempt to fix now none of the drawers are on track they will not close so now its a tv stand until my new one arrives. Basically paying for the last 8 months for stage furniture looks pretty but can't use.
Wendy is a wonderful point of contact for this store. Professional, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make her customers happy.

Terrible customer service. The salesman didn’t speak when we walked in just stared at us with a disgusted look on his face. We asked where there any sectionals in stock and he just gave us a flat no. He wasn’t helpful whatsoever. I spoke with the store manager and he stated that is highly uncharacteristic of Charles but I’m going to call bull based off the other reviews giving a one star because of rude staff.

I initially bought furniture from the Gardendale location absolutely loved the ladies over there. I decided to purchase more furniture and transferred my account to this location because it was more convenient for me. Worse mistake ever! Piss poor customer service. I will never buy from this location ever again! Gardendale location will have my business from now on.
