Good and fast service with appointment. The lab technician was so good our kid dint even realize when she poked him. Just great FIL for such employees. He was also given a snack after the blood draw. The place is very modern and they have these little pods to sit while waiting that was enjoyed by our spl needs child.
This is a complain toward the Sunnyvale location lab. We went to this location to drop off our daughters urine sample, and the front desk told me there are 4 people ahead of me, and we need to wait. So I asked her if they have ice pack, or fridge that can help keep the urine sample cool. She said they don’t have anything to help. I had to call the main hospital because the doctors instruction is to send the sample within 2 hours. The nurse from the main hospital asked me to pass my phone to her, she was away from the desk, so I asked another person if she can take the call, and she refused! Yes, this lady refused to talk to her college regarding patients urgent request. After I kinda beg her, she rolled her eyes on me and asked me to put on the speaker. Turns out, they still refuse to give me a ice pack even it is requested from the main lab in Luicl Parker’s hospital. One of the front desk even told me that I can leave now if I want to. Yeah, so I did leave and drive straight to the main lab, which is 25 minutes away. The lab tech took my sample as soon as I arrived there. They already knew what had happened to me, and they gave me the patient experience number, and I am going to file a complain. Anyone from the Sunnyvale lab seeing this, please note, what I have experienced is not from a single person, the whole front desk are acting like bullies and refused to help. They treated me rudely in front of my kid, and acted like they don’t work there. I won’t go to your location again even it is much closer to my home. Because you have successfully lost my trust on you. I mean, what kind of lab don’t have ice pack or fridge? And what kind of person will bully your patient? You might think I am overacting, but my baby has long history with your hospital and LPCH is like family to us. This is the first time I got treated like this and I also know I am not the only one. Please take actions, we need someone with sympathy and passion to fill the task, not cold blood persons who would rather chatting behind the desk instead of trying to help the patient.
No department or no one staff is coordinating a patient's treatment journey from start to end, everything is last minute notice, if fortunate, or a miss otherwise. It's outright impossible to get things done right or in a timely manner, adding unnecessarily heavy burdens onto a patient's shoulders.
First time visit here had to get my daughter seen. I can’t tell you how friendly and professional the staff and the doctors are here. They answered all questions for us. I highly recommend this place.
The place looks new, clean and modern. However I hope the staff at the front desk could be more informative and personal and less mechanical. Below is my experience. I called and was told that I can just walk in for a blood draw for the baby. When we arrived, we were told at the front desk that there were *two* blood draws lined up ahead of us. When I asked after 30 min, they told me there was *only one* blood draw ahead. We ended up waiting for about an hour until it's our turn. The clinician was friendly and aplogized for the wait and told us that was because his colleague was absent on that day. I hope I was informed of this situation earlier, either during the phone call or when we checked in, so that we can better arrange baby's sleep and feeding.
We had a very bad experience at the fertility and reproductive center at the Stanford children’s hospital at Sunnyvale location. They did a genetic test on me and my husband, and they suggested that our gene may have bad configuration and may result in some rare illness in the child. We planned to do IVF In vitro fertilisation anyway. After the initial visit with our primary doctor, he seemed disappeared because he was so busy and we were only communicated with our primary nurse at every step of the treatment. After two egg retrievals and we had no success at this Stanford facility, our doctor recommended us not to try anymore and he recommended us to consider egg donor. we found a different IVF clinic RMA in SF and we were told by GeneScreen lab that the configuration of my husband’s gene and mine is just fine and normal. The thought of the bad gene configuration made us worried for a long time. What a terrible experience! Overall our experience at this Stanford facility is very bad because we got so little support. Compared to our experience with this Stanford location, our experience with our new IVF clinic RMA SF is 100 times better. Our daughter Clarie was born after 1.5 years IVF journey with our new IVF clinic RMA. Before you make a doctor appointment at this location, you may want to check out its Yelp reviews of the facility.
My six months experience with Dr. Lusine Aghajanova and her care team was exceptional from day 1. It took me two months to get an initial consultation, but it was totally worth the wait. I was referred to this doctor by Progyny and I am so happy I waited. Going through any medical procedure during the pandemic warrants extra stress, anxiety and challenges, but Dr. Aghajanova’s care team was patient with all my questions. I was told that her team works closely together, so I may not have her time exclusively… just in case it is important for you to have only one doctor, please consider this in advance. In general, Dr. Aghajanova’s care team were very proactive to set me up for success by ensuring I knew what their set expectations were from the start. I worked full time during this time, so having her team be on top of scheduling while being understanding of my crazy life/work schedule made my experience less stressful. In the end, I was juggling three different calendars Stanford, personal and work and I always felt that Dr. Aghajanova and her care team were sincerely understanding of my time. What I appreciated the most was the kind and personal touch to every doctor visit, follow-up call, and encounter through online messaging. Unfortunately, I got covid midway and it was a super emotional ordeal that took me a week to recover emotionally/physically after. Every person that I spoke with on the care team was gentle, caring and even reminded me to “take some time to be kind to myself” as I cried on the phone. When I returned, everyone was really sweet and welcoming… It was important to me that as emotional as I was the entire time, I knew I had a professional team that would be honest, open to share facts/risks/recommendations, and in the end respect what I truly wanted without them taking it personally. This was the most important concept for me because it truly helped me relax, trust their Stanford process, and finally be present to enjoy this special time in my life. Standard blood work seemed extra professional just trust me on this, doctor visits became fun to see familiar faces and phone calls received for my results was a positive experience overall. I will confess that any fertility service will be intense and time-consuming, but I will say that if you are looking for the best, top-notch service with high-technology, Stanford will be the best investment of time/energy for your family. I am happy with my results the team took care of me during my procedure and did a wonderful job that surpassed my expectations and will confidently say that Stanford is simply the best out there. I went to Spring Fertility in Oakland and my experience was nothing compared to Stanford... I am thankful I have Dr. Aghajaova’s care team for life and highly recommend her team if you truly want the best. ps. You truly deserve the best, so go for it!
I wish I could tell you about the healthcare they provided for my kid, but the truth is that I can’t even schedule an appointment. Multiple hang-ups, endless holds, promises of returned calls and “we’ll send you a link!” that never materialize. I so want to go elsewhere but we’re stuck with them.
Loved them in person especially the doctors but once you leave it’s such a hassle dealing with referrals or even getting a copy of your report or getting any questions answered Over the phone. Ive spent hours on hold and get transferred from person to person this happens every time its extremely inconvenient
Caution dangerously negligent risking patients lives and data.
