The Premier District of Choice!
Stanislaus School District was established in 1875. The original school site, consisting of 8.5 acres, is part of the present 13-acre campus of Stanislaus School located on Kiernan Road. The Stanislaus School District became the Stanislaus Union School District in 1949, merging with a northern neighbor, Stoddard District, which was formed in 1909. The Prescott District, established in 1906, was added to the Stanislaus Union School District in 1953.
This K-8 district is located in the northwest area of Modesto, California. Its boundaries are Highway 99 on the west, the Stanislaus River on the north, McHenry Avenue on the east, and Briggsmore Avenue on the south. Currently, more than 3,000 pupils attend the District’s five elementary (K-6) schools and one junior high (7-8) school.
The mission of SUSD, as the premier district of choice, in partnership with the community, is to ensure the ultimate educational experience for all children.
