We have been to Stanley's about every other year since 2006-2007. With the pandemic we missed 2020 and 2021. Rob, the owner make you feel right at home. He always has a smile and greeting. John Allan spelling is a fantastic guide. He got me on a 14lb lake trout this year. In years past he also got us on the fish, be it trout or walleye or northern Pike. The dock hands are very friendly and helpful. The accommodations are first rate and updated. The fishing on Eagle Lake is phenomenal as long as the bad weather stays away. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Stanley's to anyone who wants a great place to stay and fish.
We were so lucky to get last minute accommodations at Stanley's and it was the icing on the cake of a 5 week road trip. Rob at Stanley's was fantastic and even remembered to invite us to the weekly fish fry when we booked 2 nights last minute. We were not expecting any vacancy but lucked out - most book year after year for minimums of 1 week. Rented a boat and caught 4 nice small mouth bass live released and saw 7 bald eagles - most up close. The hospitality, the location, the natural beauty and comradery make this a must stop. Wish it was closer to Kingston Ont our home town as it would be an annual family vacation.
We have had the pleasure of staying at Stanley's twice this season 2021. It is always a pleasure to arrive. The owners are excellent hosts and are there for you when ever you need anything. The cabins are big and spacious and impeccably clean. Our stay was extremely relaxing and stress free. A great way to get away from the real world, we didn't want to leave. Thank you Rob and Chantel
We spent several vacations with our children while they were young and still under our roof. A few times with several of them as they left the nest. Our five kids are now married to amazing spouses and our youngest son suggested this year we take a family vacation at Stanleys and share those experiences with our now large family. We are excited about coming back and seeing the new cabins and enjoying the scenery and fishing. I wonder if the kids will jump off that cliff into the lake - I about died when I saw them do it when they were so little and so brave. Mom
My favorite place in the world. After 18 years of enjoying Stanley's I continue to get excited counting down the days to my next trip. The fishing and accommodations are excellent. Our group especially enjoys the many portage lakes and opportunities to target all the different species, walleye, pike, muskie, lake trout, smallmouth, and white fish. But the best part about Stanley's are the people. From third generation Wisneski family to the guest arriving the first time, everyone is so nice and happy. Hard not to when you're in such a beautiful and special place.
3rd family trip to Stanleys. Always have a great time, they treat you like family and have excellent cabins and service. They are constantly upgrading and improving and we cant wait until our next trip!Rooms: 5/5
Highlight of the trip was a 51.5" Muskie!!! The accommodations and staff are top notch. The staff are very accommodating and eager to help. Our group will definitely return.
