It was quite cold. The river is beautiful and we had a good time watching the water and the ducks. Great camping park lots of room and play area for kids. Good place for wading fishing swimming. Seen a rope in a tree that looks like fun. Gold panning could be fun.
Stayed in the lower part of the park with some Friends. Had a wonderful time here. The park host... Rachel I elieve was her name, she was wonderful. Super helpful and friendly. Looking forward to staying here again.
Stopped in at Stanton Park during a 550 mile drive and was quite surprised at this out of the way park. The park has a day use area and camping areas. There are restrooms and showers for campers. There are playground equipment for children, a covered picnic area, and river access. Do yourself a favor, stop by Stanton Park and take a look around, better yet, stay a while and enjoy the park. If you find my review helpful please give me a thumbs-up Thank You!
We used the lower campground group site. It was very open with lots of room. The camping spots are maintained and looks nice. The upper part has a group pavilion and large field with a playground. You can also access the river, foot traffic only. It normally has a day fee, but those have been waived this year.
Rachael is the campground host, and she is wonderful, amazing people. She is very respectful, kind, caring & a very very compassionate person; we really love her and feel as though she has become family to us. We had a situation, she truly went above & beyond in our behalf. We would certainly camp here anytime, whether we had to pay or not. She's great for the park...as well as the Douglas Co. Parks system. Thank you Rachael for your help!
This is a great campground. It has the best showers around. The water is always hot and stays running as long as you need. The park itself is well taken care of. The walnut grove is beautiful. The walnuts are free to any camper who wants them. The playground is great and well kept. Great for big adnd little kids. The staff John and Will are super helpful and friendly. The price is great and you don't have to put quarters in the showers they are included. I hope to come back manytimes in the future!!!.
We love this park! Nice hosts. Great place for overnight..hot water in showers, clean! Don't put your stuff on floor..water goes out of shower stall..so be aware of that. Nice river area in lower camp, very close to Seven Feathers and the shuttle will drop you and pick you up. Site 10 has some big roots growing under pavement..we managed it fine, but we are only 27 ft. Safe travels!
A good place to stop and get some sleep and relax along the way to your destination. Showers are alright.
Camp host is awesome eveytime we go. Sites are clean, neighbors friendly. Water right there and play structures. Clean bathrooms and showers. Playground: Super nice for those who ha e kids.
We just stopped in for a look around, it's a very nice park.
