Stargazer Day Camp, Brooklyn’s favorite Summer Camp, is the premier Summer Camp Program serving the Brooklyn community via the Midwood (11210), Flatbush (11203), Mill Basin (11234), Marine Park (11234), Bergen Beach, and Canarsie (11236) areas. With two locations at Public School 207—its flagship site, and Public School 240—its newest post, Stargazer summer camp is able to provide incomparable services to a wide demographic of patrons. We have a long-standing reputation for providing the most fun, safest, and healthiest summer camp experience for all of our youngsters, while encompassing a beautiful plethora of dynamic children from all walks of life. The beauty of diversity, in of itself, is that it leads to experiences that sometimes can’t be had from being around a centralized sect of people. By growing to understand and accept others with respect to their race, age, religion, etc., the children are afforded a greater learning opportunity at summer camp that no textbook could ever provide.
We pride ourselves on being an ACTIVE summer camp, and by active we mean—engaging in a different, Focal activitity everyday with a standardized regimen of exercises that commences at the start of each day. This not only promotes steady cardiovascular health, but also makes being healthy a fun, effortless routine that the children can learn to love and carry on into adulthood. Our summer camp staff is composed of multi-talented individuals who have played semi-professional basketball; presently star in off-broadway plays; currently teach throughout the regular school year with Master’s degrees in their field of study; and, are CPR Pro and First-Aid certified through the American Heart Association and American Safety and Health Institute, respectively.
Stargazer Day Camp prides itself on creating experiences for all of our campers that they will never forget, and treasure for years to come. It is our duty to provide a Safe and Healthy environment by fostering the talents and abilities of every single child. This is a place where they can escape and grow in harmony with other kids during their summer break. The friendships made and bonds formed only further strengthen their interactive relationship skills.
We fully understand how demanding it can be for you as parents; that’s why we at Stargazer try to ensure that your child is secure, while having the most fun possible. It brings us great joy being one of the most diverse camps in Brooklyn, and all of New York as a whole—having campers from all different walks of life, backgrounds, and cultures. Some of these include African American, Caucasian, Latino, Asian, Pacific Islander, West Indian, South American, and more. All of which builds a greater dynamic, allowing for more tolerance and sensitivity when dealing with other races outside of their own.
These developmental years are what set the tone for the adults your children will become.
